Hotel Arvor

The room was very nice, newly painted, and the staff was very friendly? And the location couldn't be better, right in the historice center of Dinan.

Enjoyed our stay in Dinan. The Hotel Arvor is in an excellent location, and even though it's right in the heart of Dinan's downtown, it was very quiet at night (and our room looked right down on the main street). The main problem was the limited parking. If you don't reserve a parking space when you reserve your room you may be out of luck. Also, there is a charge for the parking. We were fortunate, however and the nice girl at the desk squeezed us into a sort of corner spot in the lot. Driving in Dinan is not easy, with narrow roads, etc. so maybe very few people bring cars. The room itself was very comfortable and clean. We had a triple and it was just right for 2 people, as the 3rd bed allowed for space to spread out luggage. The hallways look somewhat institutional but the rooms are nice. Overall a nice stay.

Although a little noisey in the evening (due to central location) this hotel is very nice, clean and tidy with helpful friendly staff, booking your parking is essential although the spaces are quite small! rooms are spacious with great size double beds, the breakfast is superb with a great choice and excellent service. overall a pleasant stay in a must see area of France.

Dinan is a lovely medieval town with ramparts, towers, church bells and houses and streets that would have looked the same as in 1400 except for the cars and electric lights. This hotel is centrally located and has its own adjacent parking, a luxury in the old city, especially one accessed primarily by car (train service to Dinan is spotty).It serves avery nice breakfast on site if one wishes to start the day in the hotel. The front desk staff is friendly, English fluent, and helpful. The rooms do not share the older flavor of the hotel itself, but have all the modern conveniences on would expect in a moderately price hotel. Dinan is also a pleasant drive to Mt St Michel, St Malo, Dinard and Rennes but is not overrun during the peak tourist season as some of the others. There is a nice variety of shops and restaurants within walking distance through the narrow cobbled streets and alleys-all very atmospheric.I would have no problem staying here again.

It was extremely enjoyable

In the centre of old Dinan, this hotel is memorable for the homely style and the friendliness, without fuss, of its staff and proprietors. I stayed here on my own for four days before moving on for our family holiday, and it was an extremely pleasurable experience. Despite its central position the hotel is peaceful and relaxing - I completed some work here that has been hanging over for ages! Thank you, Arvor. I shall certainly return asap.

Location gets a 10! We could stroll the entire "old town" very easily. Surrounded by a dozen charnimg places to eat and many lovely shops.Staff extremely helpful. Suggested a hotel for us in the countryside and called ahead and made a reservation for the day we were checking out. MANY Thanks to the person who's review on your site told us to reserve parking in their secure lot! When we arrived there was a plackard in a spot in the lot .So helpful. The building appears very old but our room was large and with a wonderful shower.

EXCELLENT----GOOD BREAKFAST. OVERALL, PROBABLY THE MOST ENJOYED HOTEL ON OUR TOUR OF THE REGION. VERY GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY. PRIVATE PARKING INCLUDED!!
