Rockingham Lodge is situated in a large village with plenty of pubs serving decent food. It is well placed for visiting everything the Peak District has to offer. Before we arrived, the host, Gillian, telephoned to explain there was scaffolding on the house and didn't want us to be disappointed. We were in no way disappointed - the inside of the house is lovely. We had the biggest bed I've ever seen and while the memory foam mattress was a little soft for me, my husband loved it. The room and bathroom were spotless, with good quality bed linen and soft fluffy towels. Breakfast was lovely - we both chose full English with delicious thick bacon and great sausage. Cereals, toast and a continental choice were also available. The host was very friendly and informative and we would not hesitate to stay again and to recommend Rockingham Lodge to others.

I had a great experience in the B&B. All staffs were kind, breakfast was nice room was clean and quite even though they has had construction.

Very enjoyable stay, room was lovely which exceeded expectations and owner is very friendly. Zero complaints. Only warning is there is cat at the lodge so if allergic stay away.
