The Lapa Hotel

Building site next door 24/7. Cross major road to beach. No bar. Pool in shade. Mosquito problem. Not the best room cleaning. Middle of nowhere. But tuk tuk readily available. Much better locations and hotels in hua hin

The welcome was lukewarm - very few smiles from reception staff however the porter was chatty & seemed happy. The cocoon room was small as expected & felt a bit on the cheap side although it was functional & satisfied our accommodation needs. Pool area decent although didn't see the point in having a sandy area - there's a beach 5 mins walk away lol Without the constant noise from the building site our stay would have been reasonable. Overall the reception staff were more interested in their mobile phones; breakfast staff were attentive & the breakfast offer itself was fairly average for Thailand. If we hadn't got the sale price for the room, I would have felt ripped off.

The pictures look too nice on the website but upon arriving, it does look exactly the same as the pictures! I'm very impressed with the design and decor in the room and it was very clean and well maintained, except that one side of the pool had brown tiles that made it look dirty but it wasn't. The staff were really friendly and could speak English. The shuttle service was really useful as well. No toiletries provided so got to bring your own. 7 Eleven is open nearby so it can be a life saver. Just opposite Inter Continental but at such a low cost.

All perfects , Hotel have shuttle bus to many attractions in Hua Hin. Very clean room.

Generally a nice clean hotel. Rooms spacious and clean (attended to daily while we were there). Nice pool area although I suspect in peak season there is not enough sunbeds to accommodate guests. Our requests for a cot were ignored despite reception confirming they had one we could have. I gave up in the end as we were only staying a short while. Disappointingly there was nowhere to get food or drink (apart from the breakfast included) within the hotel. There were no bars, restaurants or cafes open within the hotel. This was probably because we weren't staying in peak season (stayed end of October) but I still feel there should be something open to accommodate guests staying in any season. Would recommend to couples and families but only in mid or peak season.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel 3 times within the last 5 years. We're disappointed about how the hotel has changed. Amenities were cut-down, lack of attention in room maintainance, overpriced breakfast. There're little things that keep us thinking that we can stay at better hotels for the same price. I have to say that the staff are excellent, but it can't make up for our disappointment. This is sad because we used to love this hotel so much. We don't think we will stay here for our next visit :(

Great people working at the hotel! They were super friendly and helpful. At the restaurant, they asked from our 5 years old what he wanted for breakfast the next morning, and delivered exactly what he had asked making him so happy. Breakfast was brilliant every day anyway. Rooms were well-equipped for this price range. Concierge was extremely professional, spoke great English and helped us out in many ways. The only small negative was this major construction just next door. I have to say, however that our room must have had a great insulation as we really didn't hear much inside our room. it was only when we spent time at the pool when we heard the construction.

Convenience store nearby, walkable distance to shopping mall, free shuttle to night market. The room is very spacious and well decorated. Swimming pool is big and nice. Tried the spa but not too impressive. Not much variety for breakfast.

To far out of town, building site 8m away which is 24hr a day !! I could not sleep , not for me Most staff was nice

The room is comfortable. Good location. Beautiful garden and swimming pool.
