Malibu Mooloolaba

Malibu is an ideal place to stay. Overall a comfortable unit, apart from a couple of things. The air con is in the front living area and the bedroom is at the very back,of the apartment, so is very hot and stuffy. If you open the windows of the bedroom it is very noisy, particularly with some person starting up a blower vac at 6 am and using it for half an hour. There is a ceiling fan, this helps with the heat thankfully. There are roller blinds on the bedroom windows, which are nowhere near block out, and so barely keep out the bright morning sun at 5.30am, nor the heat. We had a problem with the TV remote, it seemed the batteries were flat. Somebody took a look one morning when we weren't there, and we were told it was just the type of remote, and we had to push the buttons harder. 'User error' It was actually quite terrible and very annoying. I know sounds a small thing, but when we wanted a relaxing holiday, it was annoying. Unit was clean, well equiped. Thought it a bit odd that if we wanted more toilet paper we had to pay $1 per roll, even though we stayed 10 nights with just one service after 5 nights. Another small problem, but notable. Internet was ok but there is a limit. Awesome restaurants close at hand, and beautiful beach. We were on level 8 with wonderful views.

Unfortunately the position was the only thing going for this hotel. Great for cafes, beach, restaurants and shopping but sadly in need of an update. Starting to show its age - main bathroom had a shower over a deep bath and unfortunately very hard to get into (especially in the case of my 91 year old mum), main bedroom door would not close and neither did the shower door in the ensuite. Also washing machine had to be replaced while we were there as the old one leaked everywhere.

Slack service average rooms single towel per person minimal effort, lovely view and nice people just required more effort to service room

Loved it! Pleasantly surprised as photos online when booking don't do the place justice. Loved the place, immediately wanted to extend our stay but couldn't due to no availability. Great location. Highly recommend.

Nice holiday appartments in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only real complaint is the aircon was not really up to scratch. Just one aircon in the main space that had to cover the other rooms off a long hallway.

Excellent place to stay, million dollar views from every apartment and very friendly and helpful staff

The apartment was very nice and located right across the road from the beach. We didn't have a great view because we were low enough to have the trees block our view but still nice. We were offered the top floor at an extra cost but decided to stay where we were. The building is situated perfectly right in the mix of everything around the main beach area. We would stay again.
