Hotel Aloe Canteras

We chose the hotel because of it's location near the beach, restaurants and shops in the newer part of Las Palmas. It's relatively easy to get around because the area is very flat and public transport is cheap and frequent. The airport is 30 mins away on the direct bus, the South of the island is about 60 mins on the quickest bus and the Old town about 10 mins on a local bus. At night the promenade and beach are lovely as are the squares in the older part of the town. It was rarely cool enough, even at night in Las Palmas to need more than a t-shirt.

Great location - little noisy during day with works going on on beach for Christmas pageant - but no problem!! Would definitely recommend a stay here!

We had booked a sea view room, but the first room we were given did not have anything more than a peek at the sea. When we complained they said we couldn't change until our second night. They gave us one day of free breakfast as well. They claim they have removed the call out for sea view as they no longer guarantee anything more than a balcony so beware. Other than that the hotel was nice and clean and wifi was good. I posted photos of our first view and our second view, very different. Also beware that there is NO privacy in the bathroom as there is clear glass instead of wall between bedroom and bathroom and a glass door.

Great experience overall... location is good... room was clean... staff friendly.. good food (breackfast is worth it if you like to eat). The hotel is in front of the beach, you just need to walk one minute to be in the sand, still is not "sandy" at all. Well spent money!!!

We had a lovely stay in the hotel excellent room with a great view from the balcony. Very clean and modern. Reception staff very helpful and pleasant. Felt very comfortable and relaxed.

This hotel is very close to the beach and I’m lucky to have a room that has a view of the sea from my patio. The staff are very polite friendly and helpful. Room is clean and cozy. The Sun lounge on the 7th floor provides amazing view of La Playa de Las Canteras. Spar store just across the street and you are surrounded by restaurants cafes and gelato places. 10 minute walk to Santa Catalina Bus Exchange that has direct trips to airport to the south of the island to maspalomas playa ingles, Puerto Rico, puerto de mogan etc. I will definitely be back!!!

Accessible and convenient. 10 minute walk from Santa Catalina Bus Exchange to the hotel. The Playa De La Canteras beach is a few meters and can be seen from the hotel patio. Staff are very friendly and hospitable. Spar is just outside the hotel. Many restaurants along the boardwalk. Hotel is clean and comfortable. I will stay again.

Had a pleasant experience, no issues to complain about, but just was a bit unsure about the glass bathroom, fine for couples but not for friends/work colleagues.

This was a decent stay, however I found the staff to be very unhelpful with recommendations and general assistance to travelers. One morning around 0900 we were woken up by a very loud radio communication by the cleaning lady. We told her it was really loud and she still kept the radio very loud. We were unable to sleep. Also one day I asked to use a spoon so I could eat a yogurt, they said no. I had to go to a market to buy a spoon! The staff also were not very helpful with recommending things to do or places to eat. The interior of the hotel was nice, and nicely designed
