22 On Rose

L'établissement est une petite maison très bien située dans le quartier de Bo Kaap, comprenant une cuisine, une salle à manger dans laquelle sont servis les petits déjeuners et 3 chambres, dont 2 à l’etage et 1 en rez de chaussée avec une petite cour. Deux personnes sont en charge de la préparation des petits déjeuners le matin ainsi que du ménage, mais ne vivent pas dans la « maison ». Ce personnel est accueillant, sympathique, et très aidant. La cuisine peut être utilisée pour les déjeuners ou les dîners par les résidents (très pratique de faire ses courses et de pouvoir réchauffer un plat le soir). La décoration de la maison est moderne. Les chambres sont spacieuses, lumineuses, bien décorées et aménagées. La literie est d’excellente qualité. Climatisation et télévision disponibles. Salle de bain vaste et bien équipée. Pour information : un agent de sécurité est posté devant la maison tous les jours de 19h à 7h en plus des équipements de sécurité standards pour l’Afrique du Sud (double porte, mur haut). La consommation d’eau au Cap est très régulée donc il est noté dans la salle de bain d’essayer de limiter la durée de ses douches. Cafés, boutiques et supermarché à proximité que ce soit Downtown ou à Bo Kaap. A prendre en compte : on entend l’appel à la prière musulmane une fois par semaine tôt le matin, ce qui peut réveiller, mais on se rendors très vite si l’on est pas d’obédience musulmane. Pas d’inquiétude à avoir donc pour son sommeil.

Ich war schon das zweite Mal in der Rose Lodge, gewohnt habe ich in Wale Street 91. Hier habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt, ansonsten hätte ich es nicht noch einmal gebucht. Es stimmte alles, vor allem ist alles gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Ich mag das Bo-Kaap Viertel.

Wonderful service and great area to stay in. Amanda was so lovely and gave us everything we needed.

On arrival reception in disarray and unable to cope with us and 2 other couples whom had arrived at the same time. Once over that hurdle things improved and we were shown to our unit which was very basic but very clean and livable. Unfortunately one has to park in the road but they do have a security guard in attendance for the duration of the night. But this is made clear to you upon booking.

The room was clean and modern. Wifi worked great. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Bo-Kaap is very beautiful and colorful area with a lot of services only a few blocks away. The basic self-service breakfast is good and filling. We slept very well though there is loud religious sounds outside every night at 4:30 am.

Very nice hotel and the staff is really helpful. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. The location is convenient and within walking distance to the waterfront. Parking is on the street and during the night there is a security guard.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the hotel is located close to a mosque which means that at 4 a.m. you are torn out of the sleep by the prayer call. The same repeats half an hour later :( Otherwise the accommodation is good.

We loved the location but felt that our stay could have been greatly improved by some proper breakfast. There are just some basics to help yourself to and given the amazing food and service culture in the Cape, the breakfast at 22 on Rose was a let down.

Mitten im Bo-Kaap gelegen in einem der wunderschönen bunten Häuschen. Sehr freundlicher Service. Gute Tipps und Ideen für den Aufenthalt. Wirklich top in Kapstadt.
