Superb front of house staff. Nothing too much trouble. Room very comfortable and bathroom spacious, clean and sparkling!

Despite corona virus and government changing rules at 24 hour notice this hotel refused to accept a cancellation despite significant notice and significant mitigating circumstances. Hotel manager, clearly a right jobsworth.

Great hotel in the heart of Sheffield

In fairness the coronavirus rules made it hard to provide a full service and they had put every measure in place that they could. Unfortunately ,this included having to take our cooked breakfast in a bun,wrapped in foil up to our room, it tasted awful especially with tea from a paper cup. They put this down to the rules, but they were serving evening meals at the table as long as you had a reservation. I can't see why the same rule couldn't have applied for guests having breakfast. The room was a bit dated although the bathroom had been modernised and was very nice with a good hot shower. The room itself was dirty with a red stain on the woodwork which looked like blood, but was probably jam. Nobody had moved the furniture to clean underneath, despite the hotel being closed for the the last 3-4 months. The positives were plenty of parking, necessary for some as it was quite a walk to the city centre, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, once we had found the way in!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room fairly standard but outlook onto a multi storey car park a bit dull. Hotel a good walk uphill to town centre but didn't make it as we got a tram to Meadowhall shopping centre. Area of Hotel a bit run down and not near any restaurants. Food in Hotel was quite good

I visit Sheffield a lot and this was my first visit to this hotel. I’d be happy to use again.

Our stay was great. The Room was clean, spacious and warm the bed was comfortable the the linen was soft to touch. Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel with a good breakfast and friendly staff. Only 10 mins walk from city centre and decent parking availability. Rooms were extremely clean and the bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated. Overall good value for money, would return here.
