A special mention must go to James, as he gave us so much help and information during our brief visit. He was accomodating, polite and positive and I don't think anyone could ask to be dealt with by a better person, Thank You. Mr & Mrs Day

Good value for money. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Great location, close to city centre and only a few minutes walk from Pond Forge which was the reason for our stay. Will certainly book again on our next visit.

Was a small problem with the room, which was sorted by staff as soon as we mentioned it. Rachel on the breakfast treat was lovely. Very helpful and an overall nice person.

When booking the room we specified in Options-Double bedroom/non smoking & also rang to confirm at hotel. When arrived only to be told a twin bedded room was the only one available & they were fully booked!! One of the beds mattress was higher at one end than the other causing my husband an uncomfortable night which was not needed as had just come back from hospital after tests. We would have asked to be moved but knew this was not available. Mentioned when checking out & they did refund £14 from the bill. We have stayed at Holiday Inns before & had no problems. We must have been unlucky this time
