In the 50 years I've been coming to Blackpool, this is easily the worst hotel I've ever booked. It was so dirty and unkempt my wife and I couldn't stay in it. To be fair to the guy at reception, he did offer us a room at their sister hotel, the Calypso, but that was just as bad. I was most disappointed by the pictures used on Booking.com, as they were clearly from years ago by the previous owners. The above average score of 7.6/10 is very misleading, with lots of 10/10 scores, clearly from friends and family, and lots of 1/10 scores from real customers. Please reconsider if you've booked this hotel. I'm only disappointed I didn't take my own pictures to share, but we couldn't get out there quickly enough.

I received a message saying there had been damage to the hotel due to the weather but we had been give a room next door in The Aspire hotel. The rooms were immaculate and the host was very welcoming and friendly. The location is in a great location with Coral Island at the bottom of the road and was very reasonably priced for the room. Would highly recommend.

Lovely little hotel in a perfect location, owners are in the middle of refurbishment so would definitely like to come back again and stay when it's done. Overall a good night's stay, slept very well.

The shower was very hot and couldn't turn the temperature down, literally had to hop in and out very quickly (room 14) a child or young person wouldn't be able to have used the shower due to this.

Everything, it absolutely stank of sewage /poo, double glazing in room full of water, carpets worn through so bad no pattern
