Holly Lodge Guest House with FREE off site health club

Wonderful place to stay when visiting the Lake District. Situated in the centre of the township and a 5 minute walk from the train station. We had a very warm welcome, and stayed in a lovely room, with all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was delicious and the staff so helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending to everybody . AAA+++

Our stay wasn't long enough !

Perfect location for our needs. Pre-ordereing breakfast was novel and we made it work for us by spelling out just what we wanted cooked to order. Staff were excellent and engaging. Nice touches with cafietere and hot chocolate makings in the room

The lack of any shelf or holder inside the shower cubicle meant I had to stoop down and pick up soak and shampoo from the floor. Please provide a sensible level holder/tray for items when showering. The shower & WC room's ceiling fan was very noisy and buzzing. OK, by switching on and off and on again it made it a little quieter but guests should not have to do that.

I booked this for my parents They said that the location was central and easy to get around. They said the staff were so lovely and really nice to chat to. The rooms were nice and clean it felt really welcoming. They would highly recommend it to anyone

Would prefer better/stronger cup of coffee in morning breakfast- but that was just our preference

駅から徒歩４分くらいで、便利な場所に有ります。 スタッフの皆さんはフレンドリーでした。レストランなどが多い通りから１本奥に入った所にあるので静かです。 部屋も広くて清潔だったので、フットパスを歩き疲れた後は、部屋でゆっくりくつろぐことができました。 朝食も非常にボリューム満点で美味しかったです！ 歩いて２分ぐらいのところと、駅前にスーパーマーケットが２つあり、駅前の方は７時くらいから開いていてカフェも使えます。

朝食の時間が８時からだと嬉しいです。

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was extremely clean. The breakfast was nice. It'll be "our" hotel whenever we go away now. ☺️
