"Secluded village pub, part of a working country estate."

Good friendly atmosphere in the inn from both the staff and local community using it. New retaurant and the food was good, not the usual pub food. There are new rooms, but we stayed in the original part of the inn, which was a bit small. The room was clean and well presented. The Inn is well placed for touring the area and only a few miles from Hadrians wall. It will be busy soon during the shooting season on the estate. Would use it again.
