The Fleece Inn

Wish I could have stayed longer and taken advantage of the sunset from the beer patio

This hotel is very spectacular. It caters for weddings and so is very picturesque. The room itself was very comfortable. The room had a big bath, seperate shower and a nice comfortable bed. Meals are a bit on the pricey side but are very good. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I would stay there again

My family and I stayed at the Inn for four days over Easter in early April. We ate at the restaurant two nights and the food was very good for a reasonable price. A cooked to order breakfast was included in our rate and it was also very good. The staff at the Inn are very friendly and helpful. The pub had reasonable beer and other drink options, but needs a TV with SKY Sports. The Inn is far enough away from the major areas that it is quiet, but close enough to reach more populated areas with a short drive. There are many outdoor things to do in the area. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend the Inn to others.

The staff are brilliant, I have never met such friendly staff at a hotel, particularly the girl who served us most breakfasts. The food is delicious; we enjoyed a lovely evening meal and breakfast every morning. Nothing is too much trouble. The views are spectacular.

We loved our one night stay at The Fleece. The beds were the most comfortable we’ve slept in during our month of travels. Dinner was fabulous and we sat at a lovely table by the fire. Only downside was a very cold bedroom when we arrived that took a long time to heat up.

Amazed to be given the "Honeymoon Suite" as we are both in our 80's, but it was very nice

Overall my experience of the Fleece Inn was good. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The views were lovely. Minor gripes would be; I would have liked a decaff tea in the room or an Earl Grey, but that's probably just me. I don't drink coffee at all and normal tea is too strong for me. The shower in my room was a nightmare. When I switched it on I was soaked through because the shower head was precariously angled and the only way I could change it was to climb in the bath and get even more soaked (with cold water). The taps are modern which look nice, but trying to change the mixer from bath to shower and vice-versa was a nightmare because I couldn't pull the centre piece up (it was too small to get a good grip and very stiff). Finally, the mirror on the window sill wouldn't stay upright so I had no mirror to use to dry my hair. Again, only a minor gripe, but all adds up to make me not want to stay there again personally.

Overnight stay and meal for brother in laws birthday. Visit on a regular basis due to quality of food and option to stay over. Would be there every week of we were that little bit closer
