Anfiteatro Bed and Breakfast

Very enjoyable B&B where Francesco, the owner, makes everything happen with the help of the couple of people who assist him. The place is kept clean and welcoming and the breakfast buffet offered enough choices to satisfy most of the guests (I loved the local ham!). Well done and best of luck!

Really clean, small room but so convient to everything. Great staff, helped me book a flight, in Italian, which I do not speak. Would. Stay again.

Pleasant B&B with charming décor. Great location for tourists near many shops and restaurants. The rooms were very comfortable to stay in. You should be fit though because the rooms are up three flights of stairs and parking is about a 5-10 minute walk away.

Great location! All renovated inside with very modern look in a historic building. Unbelievable!

We arrived at 10pm and took a five minute cab ride from the train station. It was after check in but one of the owners had waited for us to arrive and took us to one of the separate apartments that they have. Third story flat was awesome and looked out over the plaza antifeatro. They have regular rooms but we opted for the plaza view. Musicians would play in the plaza, and a children's choir performed late one afternoon. The fact that this space was once a Roman theater showed due to the excellent sound. The apartment is old but everything is modern, well kept and fresh.

All the staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was well placed and very comfortable.it was a great place to travel about from we had a great time.

Very basic but positioned on the outer ring of the Ampitheatre. Owner wasn't there when we arrived to check in and had to wait an hour. Finally reached him on the phone. Turns out he works in the restaurant next door, very pleasant chap. The room was very basic but comfortable and clean. Close to everything.

I chose the apartment within a B&B because of the added level of security this brings, and I was extremely happy with it. Having previously just stayed in hotels I was thrilled with how much space I had. It has high ceilings, comfy bed, a nice open plan type living space but with the kitchen around the corner so it doesn't intrude. There is a restaurant downstairs which was noisy in the evening, but after closing it was quiet. I didn't have trouble sleeping. I would totally recommend hiring a bicycle to go around the walls, or do a bit of shopping. In Lucca the pedestrian/cyclist is king. It's a lot of fun.

Upon arrival we were told we would be in a separate apartment up the street. It was a fully modernised flat in a nice old building. Bedroom,living room with kitchen, and nice bathroom. I reckon it has been totally renovated in last few months. So what was the problem ? Basically the apartment had a very strong smell , which I reckon was coming from the bare brick walls left as a feature of the renovation. The smell hit you whenever you entered the apartment. We did not have any towels changed or cleaner visit between Monday and Wednesday ( but was told on check out we didnt pay for cleaning !). We checked out a day early but received no reduction on the bill, just a poor attitude from the staff. Wish I could have scored higher .
