Just what I needed after busy day clean comfy quiet room. Nice little hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff and a lovely room. Food also very good.

Classic chocolate box English pub set on the village green in an idyllic village. Room was fine, service was excellent and food was outstanding.

We enjoyed our stay, the saff were friendly and the room was comfortable what more can you ask for

I have stayed here several times as it is a good location in a lovely village near family. But the rooms could be so much better with a little effort! The sink is cracked, the light above the sink not working. There is a trendy rain shower but not everyone wants their hair soaked when they shower! There is no light in the shower cubicle. I had to pull the dressing table forward to access the plug socket for kettle. The decor - silvery curtains etc doesn't suit the room. No information provided if you should want breakfast. I went to nearby cafe. But there was Amazon Prime channel on the TV .....

Nicely redecorated room, staff are lovely and friendly. As they have just taken over there were a few little snags but nothing major (no hairdryer, no bath/shower mat, no shelf in shower. Some soap would have been useful.) Carpet really needed a Hoover but otherwise fab room. I’m sure if I’d asked it would have all been sorted as hosts give the impression they want you to enjoy your stay. Food was good, breakfast too.

Pleasant pub offering good clean well priced accommodation. Friendly staff, Good position, free car parking, excellent views of the village green. Poor wifi was the only downfall.

Friendly welcome. Good food, except for the packet washed salad which I cant stand. Managed to get booked in early. Our dog was made welcome also. Lovely light and airy room. Would have liked some privacy film or net curtains as felt a bit goldfish bowl- like without the curtains being closed. The TV power light was intrusive at night, kept flashing on and off and the blackout curtains didn't meet. The room décor, curtain rails (rusty), mattress. bedstead (rusty, screwed to the wall) and bathroom fittings (chipped enamel, leaky shower over bath) needed TLC, but we understood it was gradually being refurbished and it was very clean and fully functional. Gradual refurbishment was clearly underway which was understandable given the challenges hospitality is facing and it's being a new venture for the current owners. We found it very relaxed and informal, like staying at a friend's home, which suited us and our dog just fine. Would definitely recommend for couples travelling with a dog. Really nice village pub atmosphere and the Ukulele orchestral entertainment and chance to have a sing was much enjoyed :-)
