Robin Hood Inn

The location is excellent, just down the road from my daughter and family. The room I had was spacious. Nice big towels in the bathroom. There is a good carpark. Staff is the bar were friendly. There is a nice menu.

I have stayed here about four times over the last year or so. I always make the same comments on here, but nothing changes. I suggest that one of the staff stays in the room to experience my comments! Firstly, one of the windows does not shut properly, due to dampness and age, causing a draft - it was cold at night (February). The bathroom sink is chipped/cracked. The top of the taps on sink and in shower is missing. These minor faults are not a great inconvenience but do not give a good impression, especially as they have been the same for several years! The shower bracket is malfunctioning and does not always stay upright, meaning you have to shower with one hand holding it. There is an unsightly folding storage rack near the bathroom sink which is superfluous and unnecessary. It is difficult to reach the plug socket behind the dressing table for the hairdryer. The room would benefit from a full length mirror. The television/remote control needs an expert in audio-visual technology to make sense of the display. it would be helpful if the very similar two door keys were labelled instead of having to fumble around to use the right one. The wifi password could be displayed in the room. When I booked, it is confusing that some sites offer you free breakfast but others don't.

We had a wonderful warm welcome, we travelled with our small dog and could not of had a better welcome for the staff and patron of the pub, The breakfast was excellent, only had the "Tiny Robin hood" breakfast and found that this was plenty. Will try the big breakfast next time :-) - already making plans to visit again when the weather is warmer

Location for our stay was perfect.

The room as freezing as the window would not close and it left a gap all around it. The radiator only worked sporadically.

Staff were lovely, friendly, welcoming. The evening meal was very tasty. Room was cosy.

Mattress was a little lumpy. Bathroom/shower had its good and bad points. Shame about not being able to have breakfast.

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Lovely view.

I booked a couple of rooms as a frienc and I was visiting Portsmouth for the football and the train links to Fratton are excellent but I had no idea about Rowlands Castle. The village was beautiful and the 'Robin Hood Inn' was right on the green. The accommodation was very comfortable (although I was only here for one night) and really clean. I went to bed quite early 11pm and although the pub was stjll open the noise was limited and did not disturb me and I had a good nights sleep. We had a few pints in the bar and it was nice and friendly. Unfortunately we did not have any food including breakfast but their were a quite a few diners and it looked like everone enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and professional. My only negative would have been if visiting with the wife, that the bed was only a double and we are now used to bigger, so ask if thats what you need.

Pub music shaking the room till midnight. Tiny, cold shower without removable head. Tiny double bed. No blackout curtains. We slept... But only just. The pub is lovely, staff fantastic, harvister up the road. Lovely location.

Thought it was great until the security alarm went off about 2am till 5pm no one even came to check why 🙄

Although we arrived early there was no problem checking in and we’re shown the room

Lovely location with a lot of character. The host let us check in early and there was an event that evening which was great. Room was comfy and looked nice. My only areasfor improvement would be that the room was a little dusty and there was a plug behubd the dresser (which was the main one) which was hangin off the wall so could'nt be used.
