Conrad Punta de Mita

The whole resort was amazing! We booked family photos with Wendy and they came out amazing! She was very patient with our kids aged 2-11 and managed to get some great pictures of everyone!

The stay at Conrad Punta de Mita was a study in contrasts. While the culinary offerings and specific service stars (especially in the spa and at the pools) were luxury-class, the experience was frequently undermined by a rigid, "corporate" culture. We encountered a frustrating "bias to say no" regarding basic requests, coupled with significant administrative disorganization regarding credits and bookings. The Highlights: Service & Amenities The Spa (Standout Experience) Treatment Quality: Both the Marakame and Deep Tissue massages were excellent. We both had Luz, who is a phenomenal therapist. Atmosphere: The outdoor hut for the Marakame treatment provided a gorgeous, serene setting. Note for Improvement: The soundscape/music in the outdoor area needs to be better managed; the relaxation was occasionally broken by the sound of kids yelling nearby. More white noise, a water feature or higher music volume may help. Dining & Poolside Service Exceptional Staff: High praise for Martin (Codex), Alec/Alex (Family Pool), and Luis (Infinity Pool). The beach bartender was wonderful (can't recall his name!) and went out of his way to accommodate the kids' smoothie requests. Value for Families: The "Kids 12 & Under Eat Free" policy is excellent and more generous than other properties that often end that around 10. Food Quality: We ate at every restaurant on property, we found all the food to be of high quality. They also did a nice job accomodating our son on the adult menu. I get for those that are maybe used to staying at Hiltons the pricing seemed steep, for us compared to other luxury Mexican resorts they seemed in line to us - a bit cheaper honestly. We were also impressed w/ their wine offerings in terms of quality Mexican wines - far better for example than what Las Ventanas offers. The Lowlights: Administrative & Cultural Friction - A "Culture of No" & Lack of Flexibility There was a palpable bias toward being unaccommodating. Examples included: Late Check-out: A flat refusal to accommodate a later departure. I had to push back a bit as the request was only for an hour accommodation – I was then told they would make an “exception” (it’s either possible or it’s not) it wasn’t a policy exception as the policy is to extend check out due to my HH Gold status and Hilton for Luxury booking. Technology: No ability to stream to TVs (Screencast, Apple TV, etc.), which is unexpected for a modern, new resort. We were eventually told Apple TVs were available but all were taken. My guess is the suites are priortizied, but this is a basic amentity guests expect – to stream or to be able to rent movies even. Cabana Food & Beverage Credit: There was a convo at check out over our F&B credit. Staff refused to take our word for the credit we knew we had (waiter who booked it told us it was $200 for the adult pool) but was dismissed and told nope its $100, creating an unnecessary "guilty until proven innocent" atmosphere. Administrative Disorganization Booking Errors: We arrived to find the cabana we had signed the day before for hadn't actually been booked in the system. The "Paperwork" Check-in: The 8-page, desk-bound check-in felt more like a US corporate office than a luxury Mexican resort. This process was timely and very inconsistent with luxury Mexican resorts we have stayed at before. Sadly, it ended up being a foreshadow for the corporate feel of any admin issue. Logistics & Room Issues Dangerous Arrival: The $300+ transport was genuinely scary, with the driver exceeding 80 MPH on a narrow and bumpt road and passing into oncoming traffic. First time we have EVER had to tell a driver to please slow down as I felt really unsafe w/ our son in the car. HVAC Failure: The room was freezing with no heating element available so you couldn’t use the thermostat to warm the room up. We turned the temp up 6 degrees, returned 5 hours later to the same 66 degrees. We didn’t know that was the issue and nor did the staff – they first sent someone who replaced the thermostat and then again sent maintenance who was in the room for over an hour. We were forced to turn the AC off entirely to reach a manageable temp. Not something you should have to spend hours on during vacation. You couldn’t open the patio door either because condensation would wet everything in the room, making the floors unsafe to even walk on (plus they would become filthy) Housekeeping: Stained cushions on the pull-out bed were ignored by housekeeping. They have Byredo products (a favorite of mine), but then saw there was no body wash – the soap available for three people was a round small soap typically used for hand washing or face wash, it was never replaced during the stay either.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at the Conrad Punta De Mita. The grounds are meticulously cared for, and every detail was thought of. Our room was absolutely beautiful, and even though ocean view was sold out, our garden view was stunning and even had a baby view of the ocean we weren’t expecting. The breakfast on site was absolutely delicious as was all of our dinners that we had. If you’re looking for a special evening, I particularly recommend Codex. It was a five star experience. The beach out front is absolutely beautiful and when we went, the waves were perfect for our kids to play around in, but still feel safe. We went over Christmas so it was at 100% capacity, but it didn’t feel overly crowded or like you were in a cattle call when you went places. You just had to be a little more diligent about finding a lawn chair. We had so much fun and we will definitely be back again.

The resort is in a great location,and has a nice layout with not everything too spread out. The room was great,and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were generally very nice, and helpful. Having 3 pools and one with a slide is a real bonus don’t see that often. The food is pretty good for the most part expect for the buffet dinners which are more overpriced then the regular restaurants and the food quality is lower there. Our favorite experience on the resort was the turtle release,it’s a nice experience and would recommend that. Even though our stay was great there were a few things that could be improved. One pool chairs often if you went to pool in the afternoon it would be very hard to find chairs and most people claim them by leaving the stuff on them. Also there’s no real quiet chair areas minus the few chairs behind the infinity pool. The room service is inconsistent, and sometimes wouldn’t even be cleaned out 4pm. The WiFi is slow and does go in and out which is annoying. Also there’s no chrome cast on the tv which would be a nice feature,better than watching something on your phone. In addition there are lots of kids and they can sometimes be running around so be aware of that.Overall we did enjoy our stay, and would still recommend even though there were a few things that could be improved.

Just stayed at the resort for 5 days. We had a great time and the staff is very friendly. We did have initial hiccup at check in, and at times it felt like the service was slow. Given the high season, it was somewhat expected. The food at the restaurants need more flavor. The overall service was good except during the diner at the restaurant Mezquite. Overall property is nice, the rooms are very spacious. The balcony is huge with very comfortable furniture. It was nice listening to the ocean waves from it.

Wonderful service, top notch food. Very accommodating for vegetarians, spacious rooms, great amenities, and a great game room. The food at Codex is an experience and worth the visit! One thing to definitely do is have a photo session taken with Wendy at Beam! She is so great with kids, takes photos in the moment, and captures the essence of our spirit. It’s a must!

We travelled with our two older kids to the Conrad just before Xmas 2025. Expected good quality and service especially after reading reviews but we were quite blown away. There was literally no slip up on service. From room cleaning to the 5 restaurants we ate in including bars and room service, everyone knows your name, everyone smiles. Anything is possible. Food quality end to end perfect. Even by the pools. Never felt busy as there are a lot of dispersed areas to congregate. Used the concierge a lot. Usually by text. Responsive and efficient. Finally the golf nearby is beautiful. A little overpriced but very well maintained and the on-course tacos were excellent. So what is the 1% disappointment. The beautiful pools are head-shakingly freezing. They are gorgeous and empty except for some small kids and a few hardy parents. Weird and likely has some logical explanation. Bit disappointing though. Well done to the whole Conrad team!!

Muy buen hotel desde este punto de vista

El hotel NO tiene suficiente cantidad o espacio en restoranes. En vez de disfrutar de las instalaciones hay que estar preocupado de reservar mesa. En dos oportunidades tuve que salir a comer a Punta Mita. Incluso al desayuno había que hacer fila, y no cortas. Los que esperábamos llenábamos el salón de entrada. Mal!!!

Beautiful beach, large bedroom with large terrace and great ocean view, perfect weather in December, pools and gardens are very nice. Overall excellent choice.

The breakfast buffet is horrendous, avoid it. Restaurants food is decent but prices are extremely high.

We loved our stay at the Conrad, the resort, the pools, the beach, the food, and the activities were fun with Juan Carlos. I even one a prize for the game
