DESchön eingerichtetes Zimmer, aber recht beengt. Pub mit gutem Bier und Essen mit gehobener Qualität. Gutes Frühstück. Personal freundlich. Alles sauber. Parkplatz im Hof. Direkter Fußweg in die Altstadt (Schleichweg vom Hof, nicht Hauptstraße gehen). Rye ist ein traumhaftes Städtchen. Auch die Schafweiden und die Küste sind nett zum spazieren.
Leider lesen sie die Nachrichten auf Booking nicht. Wir hatten Monate vorher geschrieben, dass wir mit unserem Hund kommen, und dann heißt es bei Ankunft, dass sie es nicht wussten und das Zimmer nicht dog-friendly sei und wir jetzt deshalb 10 Pfund extra zahlen müssen.

The room was tired and noisy. The shower cubicle was very slippery. No double glazing. No extractor fan in bathroom. Plaster flaking off walls in bedroom. Mattress uncomfortable. Coffee at breakfast was cheap and flavourless. The waitress who served our breakfast was efficient and friendly but in her spare time was cleaning the toilets!!

The general condition of the cottage we stayed in wasn’t really up to standard. The cupboards had peeling veneer, the cushions had stains on them, the bathroom had mouldy silicone seals and deteriorated toilet seat and fittings, the bathroom smelt of drains.

Awful shower (fluctuates between scalding and freezing). I had about 3 seconds between each extreme temperature change to clean and rinse. The room was extremely small. This would make it more of a short stay place for me. The place is old and creaky, which is forgivable.
