It was clean with thoughtful touches. It was reasonably priced for a generous sized room. I slept well. The owner was welcoming.

No allocated parking. On a busy roundabout. A distance to walk to find cafes. The entrance was off putting with a full ashtray on the window ledge, dead plants and litter. No WiFi access code.

Very clean and there was everything you needed, nice and quiet location.

Couldn’t find a better location straight across from the train and bus station and just a walk down to the beach. The owner was a very friendly gentleman and was happy to tell me where things were as I’d never been to Filey before.

Location good. Parking is a no no room at the top room 5 bath room. No heating to small beds when I booked double room. No breakfast only two tea bags in room have payed less in other guests house's and more warmer and extras. Will definitely not be going back.

We had booked a budget room, through booking com 2 nights £149.00. when we arrived we were up three flights of stairs and under the eaves of the roof. No window, only a skylight on the sloping roof. We both banged our heads on the sloping roof when getting out of bed and when getting up from the toilet I banged my head on the soap tray, bruising it badly. There was a soap dispenser over the sink, so a soap tray was not necessary. The room was very small, hardly room to move. We are both in our late seventies. I shared my opinions withe the owner, he said if I gave him £20 we could have a nicer room. Making a total for us of £95 a night £190 for two nights. He then said the rooms he wanted to charge us £190 for, he usually lets out at £60/£70 a night!!! Couldn't,t believe it. He then said the reason we had to pay more for the budget,sloping roof, window less box room, was because we had booked through Booking.com and he had to pay them commission for the booking. I still can,t get my head round this, and have used Booking.com many,many times and have not encountered this before.
