Loved the location and the staff. Rooms facing street do get a lot of road noise but earplugs provided if you don’t bring your own. Curtains were a bit thin, so eye mask required for light sleepers. Loved that I could re-fill my water bottle from water cooler.

Super nice staff (thank you!!), great location. Just a short walk to the historical center (gorgeous cathedral etc), and a large local market nearby selling fresh flowers, fruits, vegetables etc, we enjoyed our stay

Quick visit to Morelia on way to Zihuatenejo. Hotel was perfectly located for an afternoon visiting the downtown sights. Friendly and helpful staff, parking nearby, comfortable room.

The location is great. The little quiet attached cafe is nice, as is the decoration of the place.

The rooms are much smaller than they look in the photos. VERY tiny rooms. A few have no windows, so take a look first. They stole 20 euros from me, charging me for late check out, after the staff made a mistake!!! SO BAD!!!! I came down after 12 noon, the check out time, to the news that I needed to change rooms, after they assured me I could stay for another 2 nights. I had lunch plans, so ran out. I came back at 3pm, to very rude receptionist, who wanted 400 pesos before I could get my clothing out of the room. Shame, because that just ruined my experience!

"Portico offers good overall value"

8.0

People were very friendly, the breakfast was plentiful and good and the room clean. We liked the artistic vibe of the place. Comfort of the bed and bath, ok. We’d stay there again. Our stay was enhanced by the close location of friends and tourist friendly areas.

La atención del personal excelente, la ubicación del lugar excelente; sin embargo, las instalaciones dejan mucho que desear, falta mantenimiento, el colchón terrible viejo y el baño súper incómodo.

The property is clean is and home converted into a hotel and definitely is a 1 Star hotel, there are many other hotels in downtown Morelia 3 or 4 stars that you can get for similar price as portico, the breakfast is very poor and limited to two eggs with coffee the hotel is outside Morelia main square there is much better options in Morelia for the money you paid
