Lake Lodge Motel

Great location, nice and clean and plenty of amenities (soap, shampoo, towels, flannels) provided in the room. The Manager was super helpful, gave us great restaurant and breakfast recommendations. Would definitely advise staying here.

Okay, so let’s get this out the way: it’s a little dated but only to the 80s with some interesting decor. Something of an old school motel. But it’s clean, very well equipped, and the real winning quality: in a FANTASTIC location. You couldn’t ask for a better spot. And a shout out to John: a real friendly chap and genuinely welcoming.

Wonderful property with very attentive manager — John is terrific. He’s got great advice and is always friendly. I’ll be back!!

Superb location and welcoming staff

First time we stayed here. Room was nice and tidy. Pleasant and helpful staff. Would stay again.

Found ourselves in Rotorua a day earlier than anticipated and needed to book something last minute. Many places were booked up but this place got some great reviews and had a room for us. Not sure why it was still available as it certainly was an amazing find. Right on the lake and only 5 minutes walk from Eat Streat with so many fantastic restaurants and bars to enjoy. We were welcomed by Barry who was so friendly and helpful. Gave us two brilliant recommendations for food, wine and beer. The room was huge, pleasant, clean and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and the shower was fantastic. Loads of toiletries and fluffy towels, hairdryer, iron, Nespresso machine, free Wi-Fi,…Really do recommend this motel.

Close to lake. Good upgrade

On arrival at check in we were made most welcome by the manager, John who went above & beyond in providing information. Our room was amazing. Front of house with direct lake views across the road. Room 11. Amazing! Had a wonderful stay here in a very large room which was more a suite with kitchenette & seperate lounge and bedroom. There is a heated pool for guest use. Highly recommend this motel which is in fact much more than that.

Its a small motel, older styled, but recently refurbished. Amazing location, a few metres from the lake and waterfront facilities and boardwalk. “Eat St” a new restaurant/bar area is close by. Comfy new beds, plus great “thermal” heating system made this a great cosy motel. Super clean, good access unit for those with a physical challenge too.
