Candlewood Suites Chambersburg by IHG

The staff was wonderful, and helped our extended stay while moving very comfortable. A clean, safe, and walkable area. Our puppy 🐶 was welcome. Good choice of restaurants in walking distance.

The location-it was near restaurants and a Sheetz

It was dirty-unfortunately the lowest paid employees are responsible for the rooms cleanliness.

The property was nice and pretty clean. When I booked the room, the photo and details showed a sofa bed, I called the property to verify a sofa bed would be in the room, and was told yes. It was to be a room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. We arrived, there were two queen beds, no sofa, and obviously no sofa bed. All in all, it was a decent stay, and I would stay again. Hopefully next time I receive the correct information.

Looked good upon arrival, very pleasant staff, but when I got to the room it was propped open by the safety lock!!!! I called the front desk only to be told "that is normal, housekeeping leaves them that way"?!?!?!?!?! I would hate to be a woman being forced to enter a room that might contain a random person, totally unsafe an unacceptable. The property is older and badly in need of a refresh, the toaster in the room was filthy and covered in greasy prints... not that I would use it but GROSS!

The room was larger than I expected it was very nice.The only thing I had a minor problem with is there was things on the floor as if it wasn’t vacuumed well and there were some stray hairs in the shower.Im not petty so I didn’t care much.I was there for a swim meet so I didn’t spend a lot of time in the room but it was very accommodating for what i needed.

Variety of Restaurants to walk to.

The location is great, the rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, the Dove products supplied are great for anyone that forgot their own and the pool and hot tub are nice.

There was no hairdryer in the room even though it was advertised, there were someone else’s dishes still in the dishwasher, the parking area is cramped and the price was higher than other places in the area.

Clean, quiet, and convenient location.
