Candlewood Suites Chambersburg by IHG

Good location, close to restaurants. Pool was great for the kids

No sheets, blankets or pillows for the pull out sofa. Hairball and dirt all over pull out sofa. Ran out of hot water during first shower. Tv in bedroom did not work correctly

Immediately when walking in the doors the stench on marijuana was extreme!

Stayed here many times and always get the one bedroom king. We love the space it gives and the full kitchen is great. The front desk girls this stay were absolutely wonderful from check in to assisting us with water and snacks.

The amenities here are great! Free laundry, a pool and a gym. The rooms are clean and spacious.

Surprised. Expected much better from Candlewood. Biggest issue was the fact that the room smelled musty with a heavy odor of cigarette smoke. It was so bad I asked the clerk if they allowed people to smoke in the rooms. He told me they are not suppose to but do it anyways. They would not do anything about the room but did give me a can of air freshener. Other upscale brands seem to be able to police the no smoking policy so I don't know why Candlewood can't. We had been on the road for a week and had not had that issue anywhere else. To top it off the price of the room at Candlewood was one of the most expensive all week.
