Ocean Sands Beach Boutique Inn - Stay At the Beach

Overall.. good. Clean. Friendly. Helpful. AC -- blew cold air, able to regulate temp, BUT, it wasn't able to remove as much humidity as it should (towels were still very damp in the morning).

An order motel recently renovated and upgraded. Staff very pleasant and accommodating! Room, public areas, and grounds very clean. Short walk to the beach. I enjoyed my stay and would go back again.

Everything was excellence

This was an overall 4 star. Nice and clean, friendly and helpful staff, decent location to beach(3-4 blocks). Also really nice pool! The downside was the beds were stiff and the foldout sofa bed mattress was shot, key cards were hard to keep from erasing. Magnetics phones, keys, debit cards all erase the keycard. But the stay was adequate for some beach time.

Nice environment

No elevator, does tell you that anywhere; room next door, people came in around 12 am were extremely noise, banged on wall 3 times, still didn't quiet down, even with ear plugs, couldn't call the desk because phones don't work, no phones in any rooms work. Had to go look for toilet paper, only a little left on roll and no extra rolls in room. Old motel. Tv did not work, had to have someone come work on it, couldn't call front desk because no phones, had to go find someone. We were on 3rd floor so each time we had to go to front desk, you had to go up and down stairs. Pool was nice, but only had one umbrella for everyone. Overall, disappointed especially with the price we paid.

The floors were sticky and Sandy, like it was mopped without being swept first. Very unpleasant to walk on after bathing. Our sheets were Sandy and stained, we were there for a funeral and got in late and I couldn’t be bothered with making any requests to make it better. We really needed one more night stay but it was overpriced at 450$ a night for the Fourth of July, no where near worth that amount. We spent an extra night at family’s house and then another at the quality inn in Williamston, far more clean than this one. It’s what you’d expect of a 60$ hotel, just in a beach area so they get to over price it.

Very friendly staff and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we had no issues whatsoever. Would stay again when we come back to the Outer Banks.
