Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Durbanville

Perfect location for me. Clean, comfortable and good value.

A bit noisy one night only.

I had booked a double room in the hotel but we were accommodated in an apartment. The main bedroom was very small but there was a living area. There was a good selection of food for breakfast. We never had dinner at the hotel. The pool area is lovely.

The fridge in our room was not working and we were halfway through our holiday before it was fixed. We had to complain three times before anything was done. Although we booked a double room, we were accommodated in an apartment. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom and bathroom are very steep and feel quite unsafe when coming down. They are not really suitable for young children or older adults.

The hotel was nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

The bathroom was a wet room and the shower completely flooded the floor.
