Hotel Engelbert

If you're staying for 1 or 2 nights it's a good and central place in Dusseldorf, I booked a single room but stayed in a double so ++ there, although they report there is parking spaces for the car, outside the hotel everything is full after 6pm and I would not recommend this if you are searching for an easy place to park your car. Other than that it's a good stay if you use public transport due to it's location.

Arriving late I had no issues finding the hotel or checking in. The room itself was spacious and clean. Even though I didn't have breakfast at the hotel I did enjoy a free cup of tea in the morning before checking out.

Situated in a lower middle classe area, 15 minutes walk from the train station, the rooms are rather basic (no telephone, no drinks in the mini-bar), but convenient enough if you don´t want to stay for more than one night. WiFi connection is excellent, rather noisy, you hear every other noisy guest coming back to his/her room, but ear plugs help. Room rates are very low

Everything clean and working, staff speak good English but patient with my rusty German as I needed to practice. Buffet breakfast had plenty of choice. Only downside was had to go out to cafe for coffee/tea/meals and got soaked in a downpour in search of a hot drink after checking in. Taxi to airport from here was 30euro but as its a 1 minute walk to bus stop or Ubahn it's easy to use that to the main station and the Sbahn to airport terminal. Great place for a short break or business trip as less impersonal than a chain hotel.

The hotel is small, but cute. The rooms are clean and there is 24hr receptionist. We walked to the city center, it's about 2.5 km and just a straight way down and you will get there. Overall a very nice experience!

Booking a good value hotel can sometimes be a gamble, but not so with this one. It's about 10-15 mins walk from the central station and is just round the corner from the U-Bahn. I arrived late in the evening but no problem and I was warmly welcomed. The staff were very attentive during my stay and honesty could not have done more. The room was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Overall a fantastic stay at a great price - would certainly return if I ever come back to Düsseldorf!

My stay was for two weeks and it was a memorable one. I was staying in the one bedroom suite with kitchen facility at same rate as executive rooms. Walking distance from hbf and UFA-PALAST. many options of transport available.Good resturants in the surroundings.Very nice and helpful staff. I would recommend to stay if u need easily approchable and peaceful place.
