Pension Stella

The owner was accomodating and understandable when we arrived late.

George and Stella are fantastic! We felt like we were staying in a true family business. The location is about a 20 minute walk from the caldera, which worked great for us. George went out of his way to pick us up from the airport (at 3am!), help us plan where to go, and connect us with a quality ATV rental. The room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay!

Stella pension was very clean with a very nice smell. Goerge and Stella were very helpful even Milo their dog was cute and freindly.The location right in front of the police station which gave us extra feeling of security. 10 minutes walk to Fira. Many restaurants and shops around. The breakfast was very good and fresh with extra 5 euro per person.

The staff are very friendly. It's just 1km away from fira. And the nearest bus stop is just 2mins away.

George and Stella were so kind and acommodating. He kindly picked us up from the airport which made our arrival in Santorini hassle-free. The breakfast that Stella and George prepared for us in the morning was wonderful. George showed us where to go on the island (beaches, shops, etc.) and how to get there using the bus. The room was clean and had all the essentials that we needed. It was only a 15min walk to Fira which was very convenient, and the bus stop was at the end of the street to go to Oia and to the beach. I would highly recommend George and Stella’s Place to anyone staying in Santorini!

My stay was very pleasant. George came to pick me up at midnight for only 5 euro. Served me another very pleasant breakfast in the morning for only 5 euro, a delicious ham and cheese omelet, great coffee, great toast, and orange just. The room was comfortable, clean, and all you could ask for.

If you want to have a taste of Greek's hospitality, Pension Stella is the place! They are the most friendliest hosts I ever had. For few extra, George came to pick me up at the airport after a flight late in the night. The room was simple, but it was comfy had all the things I needed for my stay (especially a good wifi). I could hear noises from outside but it didn't bothered me at all. Pension Stella is well located (in Karterados) and it took me 15-20 mins walking to the main town of Fira, good morning exercice. There is also a bus station right at the corner of the street to Fira and to 2 other beaches (Perissa and another one). I used only the bus from the terminal stops as the schedules are difficult to understand (better wait a good 15 minutes in advance in case the bus arrives early). If you enjoy walking like me, I walked from Karterados to Oia and took me a good 6 hours (I wasn't well equipped & had to do many stops). But otherwise, in average it should take 3 hours from Fira to Oia with good walking shoes and light layers of clothes as the walk can get sweaty. The view is breathtaking & is worth the effort. Besides the Fira-Oia walk, George also recommended the Caldera tour for 26€ (~6 hrs). The tour starts from the old port, bring you for a beautiful walk on the volcano and then on Thirasia, continues to the hotsprings where you can jump off the boat for a swim. You can disembark at Oia or go back at the Port. Will definitely stay again at Pension Stella!!! :)

I Loved my stay with George & Stella! Their hotel is lovely. Amazing location, only 4 minutes from the main bus to Fira (or, only a 20 minute walk to Fira). Hotel is well taken care of, clean, and safe. I had an amazing breakfast each morning, up on the patio, for only 5 euros. George was kind enough to drive me around, and also offered transport from the ferry dock and airport. Will definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend!

Hosts George and Stella were very accommodating.. Helped get me to various locations on the island. (for a small fee). Room was very clean and a decent size. Hotel was centrally located.(close to bus) Bed was only a single and smaller than I expected. Lots of hot water but very tight shower space. Pool area was nice. Not the biggest but very pleasant, I only stayed one night and the hotel filled my needs and budget. Biggest compliment I can give is that the hotel was very clean.

Stella and George were the perfect hosts - warm and welcoming and breakfast on the terrace was wonderful.
