Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge

Beautiful and well-maintained property. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate requests that we had. The tour guides were interactive & knowledgable. They made sure that we had a great time on whatever excursion that we booked. We hope to go back soon!

Mostly this was an amazing trip. The people working at the lodge were great. Our first guide was also top notch (we'll get to our second guide in a moment). The lodge itself was in need of some repair, as my friend stepped through a rotten plank, which just shouldn't happen. Also the canoes need to be mentioned, since just one of them was fully functional, another one was taking in water, and the rest of them had all sunk. This severely limited your ability to go exploring. So far this is 4 out of 5 review, but I did find it necessary to downgrade to a 3, due to the very poor quality of guiding the last couple of days. FYI I am a biologist by trade, and have visited South American jungle before. I was appalled at the questionable knowledge of our second guide. But even more so by his obvious need to lie about stuff he did not know. In just one day he insisted that a howler monkey was a squirrel, a scorpion was a spider, a cricket was a caterpillar and that a moth was a grasshopper. Only to later in the evening catch a small caiman and telling us not to take photos since he was technically breaking the law by doing so. He was also in the habit of speaking quietly while the motor on the boat was running, making it impossible for most people to hear what he was saying. Although, given the quality of what he was saying, this might not actually been a bad thing...

The tours were good.

The rooms were infested with bugs. Beds, bathrooms etc. there were dead bugs everywhere that hadnt been cleaned. It was very expensive to stay for what was provided.

Easy to access from the airport.Free shuttle bus from the airport is useful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was good.

Beach towels was charged. No complimentary water bottle in the room.

The room is clean and the atmosphere is nice. Staffs are friendly and my private guide is very knowledgeable about jungle. I really enjoyed this stay.

Shower has no hot water. I caught a cold. Meals are not so tasty except grilled Tambaqui.

The food is amazing with local traditional dishes, delicious salad, and dessert. The bedrooms have private bath, air conditioning, toiletries and hair dryer.

Due to the extreme humidity some of the walkways had algae which could be hazards. We saw the staff constantly cleaning but the method wasn't efficient.

One of the most beautiful places we have visited. Out tour guide Antonio was outstanding and very extremely knowledgeable. Good size rooms and delicious food Extra special seeing camens and sloths. Beautiful infinity pool to cool down, can’t recommend this place enough
