The pub itself is lovely, with a really nice atmosphere, and the food was decent — nothing extravagant, but enjoyable enough. Our room was also clean and nicely presented, and we particularly loved the outdoor garden area, which was a great bonus. The staff were polite and welcoming throughout our visit which was wonderful!

The door latch leading out to the garden was broken, and the door itself didn’t shut properly. It wasn’t a major problem for us as the weather was warm, but it’s something that would need fixing, especially in colder months. I contacted them and they assured me they would get it fixed. The main downside was the noise. Unfortunately, the soundproofing is very poor. We could hear next door showering, what sounded like a washing machine running upstairs, and constant door slamming and clicking from other guests coming and going. Being on the ground floor made it particularly noticeable, and it was incredibly loud at times. If you’re looking for a good night’s sleep, this might not be the best place to stay.

Quiet location, near Heathrow. Attentive staff and very comfortable room. Just what we needed after a long haul flight.
