The Montague Hotel

Very nice and close to all sightseeing. Plus loads of shops and bars all close by.

Friendly service and good comfortable hotel ideal for the town and seafront. Would recommend.

We decided to visit Bournemouth for our first wedding anniversary and the Best Western Montague seemed to fit the bill for price and location. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the room was fine for a standard. The bed was pretty comfortable (although 2 singles pushed together) and the WIFI speed was pretty good most of the time. The shower temperature could fluctuate if used at a busy time, but the pressure was good. You can get to the beach in around 5 minutes from the Hotel and the walk to Bournemouth pier takes around 15 minutes, which is great as leaving the car at the hotel was far easier than trying to park in town. There are plenty of restaurants close to the hotel - we didn't eat dinner there. We went for the breakfast option (as the extra cost was negligible) and the food on offer was pretty good and there was enough variation to keep it fresh for the 6 days we were there. We would go back to Bournemouth again and would be happy to stay at this hotel again. One thing to bear in mind is that we stayed out of season so the hotel was pretty empty. It may be a different experience in the height of summer.

booked last minute for a quiet weekend away, staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and comfortable.

Nice warm for this time of the year, facilities were pleasant, very friendly staff and a lovely breakfast, also ideally situated for beach and town centre. would defiantly stay again.

Although the room was small, it was nicely decorated, clean and quiet. The staff were helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Booked a last minute break, Room was clean and comfortable, not luxurious but I feel we got what we paid for, Breakfast good, Can't really fault anything and would stay again. Great walk to the beach and the town centre

ok for a short basic stay. Rooms very noisy floor board creaking all over hotel.

My wife and I had to defer our booking for a week at short notice, which the hotel was able to do, locating us in a small double, rather than a standard double. Yes, the room, and particularly the bathroom, was small, but perfectly comfortable for a couple of nights. The cost for the two nights was perfectly reasonable, particularly as it included full English breakfasts and WiFi. Would happily stay their again.
