Overall it was a nice stay

Great stay , but the rest room needed some work.

Enjoyed the beautiful patio. Room was very comfortable. Facilities were clean and well maintained.

Pool and hot tub were closed which was disappointing.

Good condition and convenient to sites we came to see. Easy check in and out.

It was a great stay in Alamogordo. Staff was very friendly. I was sorry the pool was down, but no one's fault

The first thing we noticed when entering this hotel was the smell. You know that stuff that's used to cover over the smell of urine & other nasties in public bathrooms? That was the smell. Unfortunately, it wasn't just in the lobby area; it was also in the hallways and, to a lesser extent, in the rooms. The beds in our room were good and it was clear that the furniture had been attractive at one time. The place had a lot of nice decor, but the furniture was chipped & veneer was bubbling up in places. A hunk of the vanity was ripped out - I'm guessing it used to have a towel rack? At any rate, while things were functional, it was clear that the maintenance staff, assuming there is a maintenance staff, is overwhelmed. Speaking of staff - everyone we interacted with, front desk & at breakfast, was very nice. Cheerful & friendly. The fitness room was awful. It was incredibly hot & there was no thermostat, so there was no way to adjust the temp. There were a couple of us in there & we propped open the door & opened the window as much as it would go (not much) in an attempt to cool things down, which didn't work. The room was very small - 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical & a universal-type weight machine. No spin bike (no bikes at all) & no rower. It was possible to jump rope (bring your own rope), but only if you were alone in there. Overall, this is an ok place to stay, but if I ever stayed there again, I'd want to make sure the price was a bargain as compared to other hotels in the area.

Hotel interior and room itself was very clean. Unfortunately the properties around the facilities needed upkeep.
