Scandic Paasi

Room was clean and very comfortable. Very good breakfast. I would have given this hotel a higher rating if only they delivered what was advertised on Booking.com - see below.

We booked a Superior Plus double room for seven nights. We specifically went for this hotel and this grade of room because Booking.com stated it came with a kitchenette. We also stated in our special requests that a kitchenette was essential. We received a response from the hotel that our requests would be met. However, when we arrived we were given a room without a kitchenette. We immediately complained and the receptionist was most sympathetic but as the hotel was fully booked she had no scope to move us to a room with the facilities Booking.com had advertised. She did say she would arrange for us to be moved to the room we wanted the next day. This, was, in fact arranged, but it meant coming back to the hotel in the early afternoon on the first day of our trip which was not very convenient. When we informed the receptionist that day that we had been very disappointed that the original room was not what we had been promised, she explained that superior plus rooms each had different extra facilities and that there was no guarantee we would get the particular facilities we asked for. We repeated that that is not what Booking.com's information stated and the kitchenette was the reason we had booked the Scandic Paasi, she didn't seem bothered. When we asked if there would be any refund because the room was not as advertised, she dismissed this saying all superior plus rooms were the same price. Our new room was exactly what we expected and was very good - it is such a shame that there seems to be a mismatch in what Bboking.com advertises and what can be delivered. This is clearly not a satisfactory situation.

I had a wonderful stay with my family at Scandic Paasi. The hotel has a unique and stylish design, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, ensuring a relaxing stay.
