Hampton Inn by Hilton Leesville Fort Johnson

The elevator was out of order. Room was on second floor. Knee surgery hurt! The room was not what was booked. Would not switch to first floor. Did not stay there!

The lobby and hallway carpets were impeccably clean. The sheets and towels were fresh, and the bed passed inspection without any issues.

Upon entering the room, I immediately noticed a strong smell of urine. I approached the front desk clerk to confirm if the hotel and room were pet-friendly, and she said they were. I explained the issue with the carpet's odor, but she informed me that no other rooms were available and handed me a bottle of Febreze. Additionally, the shower was not clean. My husband and I had to purchase cleaning supplies to thoroughly clean the room and shower ourselves after a long flight and a three-hour drive, just to make it through the first night. Most of the second day we attended a family member funeral. At night, we returned to find the room had been sprayed, the bed made, and the shower cleaned. However, all the cleaning supplies we purchased are still in the room, likely for the next unfortunate guests to use. Rooms designated as pet-friendly should not be assigned to guests who are not traveling with pets. It is crucial to clean the carpets promptly to ensure a fresh and hygienic environment, especially if these rooms can be assigned to any guest.

Loud rooms, hotel smelled. Not accommodating. Unfriendly .

Sustain: Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Breakfast was good and the front desk were helpful. Convenient to Leesville and Fort Johnson. Improve: I had to change out my duvet cover as it was dirty when I arrived. The Streetlights are very bright...try to get a room out of the direct path of the lights if you need a dark room when you sleep. The curtains did not block all of the light coming in.

Property had a heavy smell similar to mold and mildew same food was reused every morning for breakfast especially the oatmeal had to depart one day early due to terrible circumstances at this hotel we will never return there again

Checkin was slow and I had to get another key to get into room. The room was dated, had spackle on the walls but unpainted. Photos missing from wall with nails in wall. Bathroom wallpaper was peeling and several areas needed maintenance. Entire hotel and room had a funny smell. Temp control in our room would not adjust.

Convenient location to my destination. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. Check in/out personal professional and courteous.
