Hotel Spinne

Beautiful hotel with stunning mountain views, great amenities and pool. The room was spotless and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. Special thanks to Zuzana at the front desk—she was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend!

The internet reviews of this hotel don’t do it justice. Our room has the most magnificent view of the Eiger and the Alps. The view is breathtaking. The spa area is incredible and unexpected. Apart from steam room, hot spa pool, dedicated ice area, sauna and relaxation room, there is a heated outdoor pool where you can look out to unrivalled views of the Alps. The pool is lovely and warm so you won’t get cold. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from Grindelwald railway station, although the hotel sent a van to pick us up. Our room is very spacious. The beds are very comfortable (could use a second pillow). There is a very large window which frames the view to the Alps. The bathroom is well appointed with a bath/shower.Breakfast buffet is very good with the usual hot offerings of eggs, individually ordered omelettes, bacon, pancakes as well as a great selection of cereals, breads, croissants and fruit. To drink there are juices and professional standard coffee machine,and tea pots with a selection of teas. We loved our 3 nights at Hotel Spinne in Grindelwald. We’re sure you will love staying here.

Amazing stay! Loved the view and the spa! The rooms are a tad dated, but clean.

The most stunning views with the Eiger visible from every window of our suite. A beautiful terrace and the most amazing service—we were even picked up from the train station! The food at the restaurant was very good, and the front desk service was wonderful as well. Stay here! You will not regret it.

Excellent hotel! Wonderfully located, it sits right in front of the majestic mountains, next to the bus stop and across from the grocery store. The hotel is very clean and modern. Breakfast was excellent, with an omelet station, pastries, eggs, bacon, juices, fruit, delicious muesli, cheeses, etc. Cappuccino machines made it top-notch. The evening restaurant in the hotel was also excellent. The outdoor pool could be a touch hotter, but it was wonderful to be there at night, overlooking the mountains. The indoor spa (sauna, steam room, whirlpool) was also nice, but for Americans, mandatory nudity is a bit strange, uncomfortable, and unsanitary - please consider changing this to swimsuits optional. Kids were running in and out of the spa in the evenings and it would get very crowded - the staff had a hard time keeping up with dirty towels laying around. Other than that minor problem, all was wonderful and we'd definitely go back!

First class. One of the best mountain resort hotels I’ve visited. Great location with parking available. Lovely Mountain View rooms available. Take an Eiger view as has lovely balcony overlooking into the sun! Dinner was lovely and the spa was amazing in particular the infinity pool overlooking the Eiger

This hotel is adequate, clean and fairly comfortable (except for dreadful pillows), no frills, very conveniently located in the centre of town. Rooms are small and bathrooms compact. The hotel offers a pleasant buffet breakfast and has a reasonable restaurant.

We've traveled a lot and stayed in beautiful hotels, but this one will hold a very special place in our hearts! Such a beautiful Hotel in the heart of the mountains. Special thanks to Luis, the Portier, who gave us so many tips about what to do in the village with our kids. Thank you everyone!!

We had a fantastic stay at the Spinne Hotel. We stayed 21st - 27th Dec and from our first moment of arrival to check out our stay was fantastic. Check in - easy and straightforward, our rooms were ready and the whole process took less than 5 minutes to check us into our 2 rooms. There’s a lift for getting your luggage easily to your room. Rooms - we had 2 balcony rooms on the 2nd Floor of the main building both with Eiger views. Rooms are cosy and well furnished with plenty of storage and room to move. View from the balcony was simply stunning. It snowed constantly for our first 3 days which meant we had amazing Christmassy scenery all around us. Food - the hotel restaurant is excellent, pizza, pasta, soups , salads etc. something for everyone at a reasonable price. Service was welcoming and quick. The same restaurant is used for breakfast, great selection or breads , meats , cereals etc and eggs done to order. Location - Could not have been better very central for all areas , bus stop right outside. Loads of restaurants around and easy to find your way around. Overall we enjoyed our time a Hotel Spinne , we made good use of the spa and loved the outdoor pool. Can’t wait to return next year!
