"Easy to explore Alesund from Hotel Brosundet"

Large,super clean room with wooden beams. Enjoyed this historic,waterfront hotel with friendly,helpful staff. Lobby with atrium and dramatic fireplace had a piano player one evening. Great breakfast with a beautiful view and a takeaway breakfast prepared for us our last morning. We enjoyed the sauna and plunging into the fjord. And it was a short walk to catch our rib boat tour. Only one downside-we stayed on a weekend during Oktoberfest. Did not get a good night’s sleep due to the street noise.

The breakfast was very good and fresh. The room was clean. The view was nice but not exactly as it seemed online. The lobby area has a fireplace and it’s a nice place to unwind a bit. The offer complimentary use of bikes and a sauna.

There was nothing that I did not like. Overall it’s a nice place to stay.

"Nice hotel, friendly staff but chaotic Sunday breakfast"

This hotel is really nice and provides a super location and really good food. The staff is friendly and you are well received. by the reception. Rooms are nice and clean. Our only negative comment is that the Sunday breakfast was chaotic. It seems that the hotel has a lot of guests coming in from the outside and as hotel guests we were not met by anyone in the breakfast area and we had to "fight "for a seat.

"Basecamp for a Cozy, Charming Getaway in Ålesund"

We loved our stay at Hotel Brosundet. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, and the views of the channel are lovely. It is cozy and comfortable, and the breakfast is a typical European offering that is very good. Having access to the sauna and cold plunge was wonderful, and the gym and yoga room were great, too. My only helpful suggestions would be to book far ahead if you want a massage, as we were not able to book massages during our four-day stay. And there was also a mix up with our bathtub reservations, so double check those if you make them. The tubs are a fun experience if you have 45 minutes to spare.
