Hotel Klettur

In ein paar Minuten ist man in der Hauptgeschäftsstraße oder an der Uferpromenade. Eigene Parkgarage.

Desayuno muy bueno y completo. Fruta fresca variada, platos calientes y fríos, variedad de bollería y todo de buena calidad. La habitación muy grande con vistas al puerto. Teníamos una doble Súper. Había problemas con internet y para compensarnos nos invitaron a una bebida. Fue un detalle. Ubicación perfecta para recorrer la ciudad caminando.

La recepción y la entrada desmerecen el resto del hotel.

My best friend and I spent three nights in a twin room at the Hotel Klettur and were quite pleased with both our room and overall experience. The front entrance/lobby area is well furnished and pleasant, and the various staff we interacted with were polite and helpful. Our room was clean and the beds quite comfortable. The breakfast wasn't the most exciting, but well-rounded enough to get you a good start to your day (especially considering it is included your room fees). My only complaint is the somewhat older appearance to parts of the hotel, such as staining on the hallway carpets and some areas of chipped tiles in our bathroom. These weren't the biggest deal but just take away a bit from the aesthetic. Your location is great as you still sit in the downtown area but are off the main route, so you don't really get a lot of outside noise. Plus - Reykjavik Roasters literally around the corner!

Convenient location to walk to Rainbow Street. Convenient free parking behind the hotel.

A friend and I went to Reykjavik a few days early before meeting a group. This was a great place to stay. We did get the larger room - Comfortable; nice bathroom and shower space.

This hotel is super basic; my room was really bland and had no character. I also did not feel safe as the lock on my door was broken so I could not securely lock my door, and the elevators do not require a key card so anyone can enter the hotel (reception is tucked inside so they also cannot see who enters/exits). The door to my room would not shut tightly so anytime someone in the hallway entered/exited their room, my door would jiggle and make a loud noise. Location was okay, it's outside the center and there are not a lot of dining/shopping options, so you have to walk, which isn't great when it's windy and snowing (which it was during my stay).
