"No words ….."

10.0

The welcome of all welcomes. I wouldn’t stay anywhere than here again. Travelled on my own to attend the theatre Craig, Tom and Chris were incredible hosts, I was made to feel like I was amongst family, what warm hearted gentlemen. Seriously if you want just a hotel, the Ryebeck isn’t for you however, if you want a warm welcome, dog friendly, clean, well maintained, beautiful hotel with incredible views over the lake, book here you won’t be disappointed.. thank you so much, it’s been a memorable stay, until next time

"Wonderful gem of a hotel. Amazing breathtaking views and gardens"

10.0

Well what an amazing hotel. From the moment we arrived we were mesmerised by the beautiful gardens outside the front entrance we just had to take photos. Such a warm welcome from brothers Tommy, Craig and also Geri. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The view of the lake and gardens out the back was breathtaking and the weather was amazing too. Good choice of beers. We ate at the restaurant and had Mussels and home made chips. Generous portions and my mum had fish and chips. V tasty. Tommy even moved a table to a shady position for us which was v kind and much appreciated. We stayed in room 7. Ground floor twin room with patio situated at side of house. Beds were EXTREMELY soft and comfortable. Lovely white sheets and duvets. Large bathroom with double ended bath and separate large shower. Tommy arranged a taxi for us which was prompt Bar stayed open after we arrived back from the theatre at 10.30. Very very friendly lovely guys, their kindness and hospitality really made our stay. Breakfast was 7.30-10am which was tasty. All cooked to order and fresh. My only feedback would be nice to have Pimm’s behind for bar and chopped fresh fruit at breakfast would have made a nice addition to the help yourself section. The toast was the best toast I have ever tasted all served with local Cumbria butter! We will definitely return but this time will come with my man :)

"Time slows down in sight of beautiful Lake Windermere"

10.0

We arrived a bit frazzled, having just blown out two tires on the super narrow road to the hotel. I stepped in and the stress just melted away. The brothers Craig and Tom are two of the most cheerful, energetic, warm and welcoming hosts. They handed us drinks and led us to the back patio that overlooks Lake Windermere. The gardens are gorgeous. They abound with irises, lilacs, columbines, geraniums, and meadow phlox. I was delighted by a huge Icelandic poppy. We arrived at 20:30 on a golden May evening. There were relaxed guests ranges around on comfy wicker furniture, two children in pjs getting some last minute play in before bed and a few dogs lazing around with their humans. We ended the evening sharing dessert and drinks and talking for hours around the fire pit with other guests. The tires were fixed. Throughout our stay, each time we return from our adventures, we were greeted as if coming back home. We were catered to with drinks, meals in the terrace, drinks including tea and coffee when we wanted throughout. The brothers are indefatigable! Aside from the warmth, the hospitality, and the pervasive sense of belonging and comfort that the Rybeck Hotel exudes, it is comfortable, clean, and very well run. The interior is whimsically decorated with murals and sculptures of geese, rabbits and owls. The grounds are well maintained and the meals are delicious. It is close to Bowness-on-Windermere (1.8 miles that we walked) from where one can take a ferry and make multiple stops on Lake Windermere. We would come back here in a heartbeat!

"Fantastic Stay with Exceptional Staff"

10.0

We had a fantastic and relaxing stay at Ryebeck Hotel in the Lake District. Communication before arrival was excellent and made everything very easy from the start. The hotel is in a fantastic location with beautiful views, and even without a lake view room, the outlook over the well-maintained gardens was lovely. We were greeted so warmly by Tommy, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were cosy, clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable, with a comfy bed and tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast was excellent, and Tommy and his brother Craig worked tirelessly to make sure everything ran smoothly. They always had a smile on their faces and were lovely to chat to. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they made us feel completely at home. The hotel itself is wonderful, but the staff truly made our stay extra special. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

"Beautiful Dog-Friendly Stay with Stunning Views and Warm Hospitality"

10.0

The hotel is set in such a beautiful location, and we were lucky enough to have lovely weather during our stay, which made the whole experience even more special. Our room was very well appointed, spotlessly clean, and having direct access to the grounds was a real bonus for our dog. It’s genuinely one of the most dog-friendly places we’ve stayed. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived until the moment we left. The team work incredibly hard to create such a relaxing atmosphere and are all so friendly and attentive. They seem to personally oversee all of the front-of-house areas themselves, which occasionally means service can be a little slower, but honestly, with such stunning views and such a lovely atmosphere, you really don’t mind at all. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning in the future.
