"Would give a zero rating if I could!"

2.0

My husband and I along with 6 other couples booked rooms at this hotel for a birthday party at the nearby casino. I was told they had a shuttle service and that it was included. This was the primary reason for booking a room so no one would have to drive. 1) We arrive at the hotel and check-in. I get a room where the card won't open the door. The front desk staff informed me that the battery was dead and she would have to give us another room ( after waiting 10 minutes for her to finish with another customer). 2) Before booking I calling to confirm that the hotel did have a shuttle service. I was told it runs from 6:00pm until 1:45am. Upon arrival (before 6) we head to the lobby to wait for the shuttle. No shuttle! The driver was sick. They were working on getting someone else to drive it. Lady behind the counter was going to drive us BUT was hard for her to leave the front desk since the other employee that came on appeared to not speak ANY English. It is almost 6:45 at this point and our dinner reservations are at 7. She said she could drive us but now informs us that it's $5 per person. AND pickup would have to be a 11. We wind up having to drive ourselves since we have no way to get back - at the time we expected to leave. 3) Once we return to our room there was basically sheets on the bed. No real cover and very cold.
