Alpin Resort Hotel

First of all the access to the hotel is difficult if you don't have a car, it is not faraway from the bus station in Poiana Brasov but the street has almost no sidewalk and you have to climb a couple of stairs (not indicated for elderly persons). The made the reservation late in the evening the same day, was tired I did not pay attention that the room I received was much smaller than what I payed for (23 sqm) and had twin beds instead of a queen size as it was specified in the confirmation mail. When I realised this after midnight, I went to the reception where they told me that the rooms are all the same and it is just a design aspect. But it was clear that the room I booked and was even shown in the hotels.com app did not correspond to what I got. The room is cozy with an artificial fireplace but the beds are hard and small. Finally they gave an apartament instead, an upgrade as compensation. Though I still do not understand why I could not receive what I payed for from the beginning. Even in the apartment the bed was hard. The pillows too small. The radiator in the bathroom did not function. They do not have body lotion in the cosmetic kit which is surprising for a 4 stars hotel. A compensation is the nice view from the balcony and the excellent spa and sauna with very large pool included in the room price. Wifi is fast. The breakfast is ok, but they don't have natural juices. Overall, ok, nicely decorated, fine location, but the service needs improvements.

I had a really cozy stay at Alpin Hotel,the room was very clean with a really interesting design and a nice touch with the electric fireplace.The place has a big swimming pool besides other hotels and a great breakfast.It has only one main restaurant where you can eat and the service is slow but the food,classic romanian is tasty.

The room we got the second time we booked in this hotel was a little bit old. Maybe it affects where you book it. The toilet needs some repairing. The breakfast was okay, eggs were served cold even if it was newly placed by the chef. Not enough parking space in front of the hotel esp. when there is an event and we ended up parking in their parking lot which is a little far away from the hotel. But overall it is an ok experience for the price.

Stale moldy carpet, water pouring from the air conditioning unit, musty pungent bad smelling rooms. Great staff and service.

We wanted to stay in this area as we wanted to visit the castles in the area (Peles, Bran and Rasnov) and may be do a couple of day hikes. Unfortunately the weather had other plans and it rained most of the time we were there - we did visit the castles but couldn't do the hikes. The hotel gym was quite good though and at least we felt like we were getting our dose of exercise. The hotel provides an excellent breakfast with a large array of choices and good coffee machines. The rooms whilst rather small and may be a little on the 'tired' side, have everything you need, and as the hotel facilities are very comprehensive you don't need to spend all your time in the room. They have very good spa facilities and the pool is large with a couple of spas as well, if that is your thing.

Beautiful views, good location excellent staff. Breakfast was included and many food options.

Everything was great, starting with the room, breakfast, swimming pool. The only cons that I see is that the outdoor playground is left uncleaned and that the personal is a mix between experienced people and less experienced, but with more less experienced personal. Overall it was a great holiday, with the kids having the indoor playground only for them, swimming pool for kids that was great for them.
