River Manor Boutique Hotel

The River Manor Hotel offers great hospitality with many charming features that make their guests feel welcomed and at home. We spent just 2 nights and would love to return.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at the River Manor Hotel. It was one of our favorite hotels on our road trip. The entire property is inviting, cozy, and beautiful. We sat in one of the living rooms in front of the fireplace with the hotel cat, whom we absolutely loved. All the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We felt completely at ease in the hotel and in Stellenbosch. The cozy city center was just around the corner. We would definitely come back. Thank you!

Rooms are clean, staff is vey friendly. They are swift to address any matter that may arise. Delicious food. The place is peaceful.

River Manor was the last place we stayed before heading home from our African adventure. Besides being a lovely and comfortable place to stay, what sets it apart is the staff - all of whom are incredibly helpful and kind. By the time we left, it felt like another home for us. Several staff members stood at the door to wave goodbye to us as we started our long journey home. It is a memory that I will hold dear and was a beautiful and fitting way to end our wonderful vacation.

We had a brilliant two night stay in late June 2025. The quality of the hotel is clear from when you arrive. A delightful heritage property set over two adjoining buildings, it has just the right mix of old world charm and the facilities you would expect in a modern hotel. The staff could not have been more attentive or forward thinking. As a "serial" hotel user key to the stay is the bed - the Manor Hotel gets it absolutely right, a perfect combination of mattress and bed linen. Lastly, and most importantly, there is Caroline the resident cat who adds an additional charm to the property - thank you Caroline!

The pillows are the fluffiest I've ever experienced. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The ambience feels warm and homely. The variety of breakfast options was very satisfying. The environment is clean and well-maintained. This was my second visit to River Manor, and I will definitely be back!

Amazing team and beautiful hotel! The staff was amazing and I felt so welcome all the time, really enjoyed every second! The house is well maintained and the beds were very comfortable. I personally love their initiative to save water in the Cape by having buckets to save extra water in the shower. The Spa experience was excellent as well. Perfect after a long flight!
