Ramada by Wyndham Jackson's Point

We were really disappointed in our stay. I was hoping for a cheerful weekend for a dad and two kids to get out of the city. I was excited for a pool, hot tub and sauna, for some lazy breakfasts with board games, and then we had planned to be out exploring the Georgina area the rest of the time. The pool was locked up and you to ask permission each time you wanted to use it. The staff seemed reluctant. It was unheated and dirty feeling. The hot tub next to it had been shut down "by order of the health inspector" with a big warning sign. None of us finished our first day breakfast - the food had an off taste. We asked to use the pool and were told it was closed until 9am. We asked to rent a pedal boat and were told they weren't available until noon. With nothing to do on site, we gave up and left the hotel for the day. That was the last time we used the facilities. The next day we had learned to stick with pre-packaged foods for breakfast, so we had the individual yogurt servings. We quickly packed and got out of there, and had a great morning at Willow Greens golf range and mini put, and at Sibbald Point swimming and hiking. We loved the area and the hotel offered us a place to crash at night, but the amenities and food were really disappointing for us. We don't get out of the city often - we would not go back to this hotel.

Wir wollten unsere letzte Nacht nicht in der Näher vom Flughafen Toronto verbringen und haben uns daher eine günstige Unterkunft in der Nähe an einem See ausgesucht (ca. 1 Autostunde internationalen Flughafen). Die Lage direkt am See war sehr idyllisch. Insgesamt war die Umgebung sehr ruhig und angenehm. Da nur wenig los war bekamen wir ein Zimmer ganz nah am See, leider im EG. Traumhafter Blick. Das Zimmer war typisch Motel-Style, einfach aber sauber. Leider hörte man jeden Schritt der Gäste im 1. Stock. Das Frühstück war ok. Hervorzuheben ist das warme Rührei und die Würstchen. Die Pools waren eher nichts für uns. Preis/Leistung war gut, die Nacht unter der Woche kostete nur 110 € (180 CAD). Das morgentliche Schwimmen im sehr kalten See war kurz aber ein Traum.

Der Herr an der Rezeption hatte mir versichert, dass es auch einen Hot-Pool gibt. Der Hot-Pool innen war von den Behörden allerdings wegen Hygienemängel abgesperrt. Das hat er uns verschwiegen. Da hatten wir irgendwie auch keine Lust in den normalen Pool direkt daneben zu gehen.

Free breakfast was awesome! Always a plus when you book a hotel. I enjoyed the Christian music that was playing during breakfast. Very inspiring to start my day. Rooms were very clean.

Cute and Convenient!

The location on the lake was great but the cleanliness and quality of the rooms was appalling. There are no elevators to the second floor so it was terrifying to go up the old wooden stairs with our suitcases. The carpet and soft good in the room all smelled and were stained. It was a true stereotypical "motel" experience. I would not recommend.

The view of the lake is lovely and peaceful. Such a nice feeling.

Attended a training conference. Staff were nice and helpful. The premises are a little outdated. The view of the water is Tranquil.

Staff were great and hotel sits in a beautiful area. Beds are very hard. Room was clean and spacious. I question the safety of the stairs going up to the top floor rooms.

Need to focus on the waterfront, because its a waterfront. Not just to look at, but reasons to be there. Maybe make your own beach.
