Royal Hotel

Friendly staff and very charming historical hotel ,private and safe with the front doors being a coded entry for guests and staff only .Felt safe there and only thing they need to get up znd running would be a restaurant or cafe in house going . The food services are not very convient there or maybe add a microwave and mini fridges to the rooms oh and telephones for local calling in the rooms would be easier and more convient for if your cell phone gives you griefs or you just dont have a phone ,would make the stay a little more convient for services 😉

It’s very cozy. Almost like staying at your grandparents house. Kinda spooky in a cool way.

I checked in in the evening, but was locked out on the street for a fair amount of time. No one was at the front desk so I had to call and wait for someone to come let me in. It’s a great historic hotel, but could use some upgrades. It smells kinda musty. The toilet water keeps running. I stayed here a few years ago (like about 4) and had the same room with the same toilet issue- still not fixed. Restaurant attached to the hotel is closed. Not a safe downtown area. Too bad. I needed a quick stay, and this was the cheapest around. Guess you get what you pay for. I’ll go elsewhere next time.

The location was great lots of restaurants and pubs and the legion as well was all in the same area

Old hotel, no lift, no breakfast, no Gideon Bible, no fridge, no be back

Neat historic building. Room was by the hallway door, pretty noisy with people coming and going. Clean room, comfortable bed.
