Horizon Manor Hotel

It's my first time staying in this hotel after my offshore work. My company put me in this hotel to test before returning to my home country. I arrived at the weekend at midnight and realized that there are few pubs and night clubs in the building as it was very crowded with people coming in and out of the building. Many security guys stand and guard the entrance. Including X Ray scan for all of our luggage. I stayed in a spacious room, a twin bed room with a direct view to the iconic Doha Museum. It was impressive to see this view at night. The room was equipped with toiletries, TV, sofa but the floor carpet in my room was not really clean as it might be used by a short timer after the club. However, I had a good sleep before leaving. Thank you to the FnB staff who remind me with a call about my breakfast and lunch time. The food menu is quite various but limited but it is still good to enjoy. I went to see the swimming pool and gym at the roof top area. The front desk was helpful and did the job very quickly. This hotel is good for business travellers or for transit purposes. God bless all the staff and management.

What can I say.. you get what you pay for. This place has 4 disco party bars scattered over many floors. No one is spared from the thumping of music until 2am nightly. Best to stay between Ramadan (bars/partying closed then) 🤔.. during evenings the entry is packed with bouncers and many drunk males. Party hotel.. Family not recommended.

Really bad experience

We were told pool was closed but it was not! We were not told that one must use a specific lift/elevator to access the pool. Was finally able to use the pool on the eighth day of our stay when we learned the all the secret information. However, we were told by reception that the pool was open until 18:00 but we were turned away at 17:15 on our last night and told the pool closes at 17:00.

in this hotel I had an excellent stay at this hotel tha staff was incredibly friendly and attentive going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable the rooms were spacious sportles s and wel equipped with modern amenities the location was perfect my next visit this hotel

My intention was to a decent place for sleeping. I started to get disappointed when I was trying to arrive with my car at the hotel entrance, as there were a group of hooded "bros" standing in front of my car, blocking the way. The valet guy was also wearing a hoodie and approached me with a "Hey, whats up, wanna park?" I felt quite uncomfortable to hand over my car but I had to do it as there was no other parking possibilities around. Upon getting inside, I could notice that the profile of the guests were not compatible with the profile of regular people looking for a retreat, but more likely people looking to get lucky with other random people. About 6 big security guys were readily available at the foyer to keep the "good order" at the entrance of the inner night club. Took the key. Dark elevator, strange people. Smoky room. I didn't even touched the bed. I left the place in less than 5 minutes. When I took my car from the sand parking lot, the sunroof was open. I was so glad I didn't took long to leave that place

Like a lot of the reviews here, we stayed as part of the Qatar Airways stopover package...and like most reviews we found the hotel noisy. There genuinely seems to be 3 or 4 clubs in this place with club goers having access to floors with rooms. We had 2 4am wake ups of shouting in the corridor - staff seemed to do nothing about it. Not sure how this is 4 star hotel. Complained to Qatar Airways and they promised some kind of reimbursement...3 months later and nothing. Avoid this place.

Our stopover at this hotel was a very sick making expierience, we booked it via Qatar Airways. This hotel can not be called a hotel, but a "brothel" is the right word. Until 2 or 3 am many different men (mostly migrant workers, I guess) were coming and going to the rooms on our floor, accompanied by females (migrant workers too). We stayed here with our 2 teenage daughters, one to youngh to understand and the other one understood very well what was going on. On arrival we had to go through a security check like at the airport, the elevators were run by bouncers, smoke smell in the hall way and rooms and very loud music until 2 or 3 pm. Not a hotel for a family or descent people. We did have a very good breakfast and the front desk staff was friendly. They know about the illegal activities. I could see they feel ashamed too, but can not speak about it, they would most probably loose their job. A very sad situation, We left Doha with a very sour feeling and I doubt we ever come back. Qatar Airways should remove this hotel from their list/website and have the minimum repect to answer my email. Please to not go to this hotel, I do not know if other hotels in Doha are different.

Hotel chosen in stopover package deal with Qatar Airlines. Overall: Would not stay again due to the noise of two nightclubs situated in the hotel and the dated and smudgy appearance of the hotel. Location: In between musea, the Corniche and on walking distance to Souq Waqif. Atmosphere: lobby crowded with nightclub guests managed by people running the lifts. Hygiene: stained carpets throughout the hallways and in the rooms. Does not mean it's dirty but it is certainly not appealing. Rooms: Ridiculous large rooms, beds comfortable. But the disco sounds came right through my earplugs untill 4 a.m. Relocation to another floor did not help at all. Service: Friendly and prompt. No automatic check out, which is really out of date in 2024!
