"NormaL"

The rooms are very small , there are everything small. Stuff looks so busy but helpfully. Good hotel for east of Russia

"Nothing special, just to spend the night"

It's a typical modern hotel as many built in Russia's regions in a last decade. So it has completely no personality. Besides that it is basic business-hotel with a typical clean and comfortable rooms, well equipped and spacious enough. There are no any disadvantages with rooms. Just have to say that lobby's location on the 4th floor is not convinient for check-in and check-out.

"Good facilities and service, only no atmosphere"

I have been in this hotel for two days for business and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are basic but modern and clean, lots of amenities, carefull cleaning and the staff at the reception speaks good English. I had dinner at the restaurant at the second floor and had a good meal for 900 roebels, friendly service. Also the breakfast is ok with bread, cheese, ham, fruit and a number of warm dishes. When I had to leave early, it was no problem to get a breakfast box with me with items of choice. The only thing is that the hotel has hardly any atmosphere. Everything is modern and up-to-date, but not stylish. For the rest a good place to stay.

"great hotel in the city center"

I stayed 9 nights at the New Star Hotel in September. The facilities were good for a european style hotel. Desk staff was very attentive. The food was good, with a decent breakfast buffet included. The restaurant turns into a euroclub at night.The casino was very modern - the drinks flowed freely. Casino staff would not do $ exchange, so i had to walk to the bak at the Ural Hotel. Laundry service was very good. Pay by the Mb internet service. I stayed in a suite, which is the way to go if you're used to US standards. Enclosed balcony with great view of the city. If you want an evening visitor, you don't have to pay for a "visitor Visa" - very important... Watch for the new rule in Russia - the hotel will make a copy of your passport, but will not automatically register your stay with the local government... You must have that document to get home, or pay the customs guy $200... schessleeva!
