Enchanting village , perfect place to stay ! I’m

I have been coming here from time for the last ten or so years. I usually give it the highest marks and wholeheartedly recommend it, even if just for the location and free parking just 50 metres from the cathedral. It seems they've tried improvements recently which haven't bee entirely successful, upgrading showers etc., but the tap in the basin was loose and one light hanging fro the wall.The prices have gone up exacerbated by the exchange rate. But it's still the place for me. A wonderful building especially friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast still good in the wonderful ancient arched room. I hope they get the maintenance issues sorted. Despite these, still go tit's still pretty good value. and definitely unique

Excellent location, almost next door to the Cathedral

An o.k. Hotel and nigh impossible to find. When people book this Hotel you should alert them to the very difficult directions required to get your vehicle to it. The Hotel breakfast is very good, and quite reasonable. The rooms are a tight fit!

Simple and plain, but comfortable and great location. Great for a few nights stay. Staff were dry friendly and helpful.

Stayed for 2 nights. Hotel staff very helpful. Elevator to room. Good breakfast on site. Only one plug in room and cramped bathroom. Beautiful view overlooking town. Highly recommend!

Venerable old monastery with renovate rooms. Comfortable but not luxurious.

Nice place, very quiet in the off season. Best access possible to Chartres Cathedral- while limited amenities in its basic design, we liked it and would stay there again.

We had a lovely stay. The hotel is close to the cathedral and shopping, but confusing to get to if you’re driving. We recommend a taxi. They will provide a hair dryer if you ask but no lotion or conditioner, and there is no one at the reception during certain midday hours and at night. Our tv didn’t work. receptionist was a big help for us, calling a taxi and giving directions. Very quiet at night with a great view of the city.

Beautiful old hotel, built on the site of a monastery, so close to the city center and Cathedral. Wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was quiet and comfortable, although the pillows were strange and somewhat lumpy. None of the hotels we stayed in provided shampoo or conditioner, so bring your own! The front desk was friendly enough although gave us some incorrect information about when stores open in the morning and she didn't know that a site we wanted to see--La Maison Picassiette--was closed for the winter. Overall, a very nice stay and wonderfully located.
