Novotel Guiyang Downtown

As topic, no air conditioning in room.... it's so hot inside the room. Window only can open slightly, but so noisy outside til 1-2am coz many construction... means you cannot sleep well in this Novotel. Lucky, i stay there only one night for business trip... not recommend

Very nice hotel, friendly staffs. Very good location and very close to downtown. This hotel also offer free airport transportation (limited schedule, need to make reservation to ensure seat is available) Only item is the shower water a little bit weak (may due to the high floor). Overall is a very nice hotel with reasonable pricing.

Everything was fine except that the shower wasn't working properly and airport shuttle was not available after 7 pm.

Stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The hotel was pretty comfortable and the size of our room was good. The breakfast was good the first day but they serve pretty much the same thing everyday so towards the end it was harder to find something we liked. The location of the hotel is convenient to anywhere you need to go and the staff was pretty friendly.

We used the Novotel as venue for Project kick off meeting with people from UK and China. Rooms for those staying overnight were clean and comfortable. The meeting room on the 28th floor was private with plenty of natural light. The highlight was lunch in the restaurant- the food was really delicious with such a variety of dishes. Good place and I will stay there again for the next meeting.

This hotel is in a great location, clean and has friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was outstanding - after traveling across China for the past month, it is definitely the best we have come across. The only reason I did not rate this hotel as a 5 is due to the fact they had no Kids Club (yet advertise that they do). Also the children's play are was extremely small, worn, dirty and had a perpetual smell of dirty diapers

I was travelling on business with two Chinese colleagues. This is my fifteenth trip to China and one of the poorest hotels I have stayed in anywhere. Room had cracked sink, hair on floor, no TV channel guide, hairdryer overheated in 2 minutes, shower sprays more water on ceiling than on bather, no glasses for water, external building work very noisy. After one night at 25 ºC my Chinese colleagues asked for air con to be fixed at <20 ºC. It did not happen. After two nights they sent a man with a screwdriver who removed the ventilation panel and pushed back the insulation. Still ca. 24 ºC. Staff suggested opening the window but had tried this and only had loud construction noise. Third night was moved to the other side of the hotel, still no air con and still noisy construction with window open. Fourth night I was exhausted and staff admitted that air con was never below 22 ºC, i.e. no air conditioning. Asked for complaints form, but they don't have any. Very poor management/ staff training. I note that many of the four star reviews are from Guiyang and from Chinese travellers. This is not a four star hotel and certainly not the standard I expect from Novotel.

The room was very clean with a big TV, and the fitness center was quite without staff, so you can enjoy your excise time anytime. By the way, almost staff was very friendly even though they English was really poor

I had a very nice stay at guiyang novotel. I had a welcome when i enter the lobby. The bellman smile friendly and assist with my luggage. Breakfast provided with western and eastern at a good price...

Hotel with good locator and facilities, as a Accor member,Novotel always was my first choosing on my business trip , the room was very comfortable and quite, fitness center make me feel personality,👍
