Really nice place and conveniently located for the town. Not much choice of eateries in the town though.

Very nice hosts. We had the bedroom at the top of the stairs, with very nice view and it was cool despite it being warm out due to good breeze, good breakfast and Wendy packed a lunch for us for 4.5 pounds. Good bicycle storage. The inn is up a really steep pitch - hard on a bike but it gives the view of the valley. Interesting hosts who also host writing conferences here, lots of cool books in the lounge and hallway.

If you don’t like Victorian-era wall paper this probably is not your best choice; very floral motif in the house.

Large bed and large room, tasty breakfast good cook and view.

Poor welcome for arriving early, bedroom window permanantly open so room full of bugs, see through curtains not blackout, parking on an extremely steep hill and one way drive risky and difficult, creaky landing noisy wakes you when people coming in and out of rooms. No bathmat for when getting out shower, had to use a hand towel.

Cosy room, excellent breakfast

Although not a problem for me, the driveway is quite steep and could be off putting for less confident drivers especially in poor weather.

Hosts Nic and Wendy were very pleasant and helpful. Room was spotless and the included breakfast was excellent.

Great room with a lovely cooked breakfast.. dog friendly which is a big bonus .. lovely terraced garden .. has a small bar in the lounge downstairs which unfortunately we only noticed when we left .. Will use again

Fabulous hotel with wonderful William Morris wallpaper and tasteful decor. Our room– room 2, was enormous, with a gigantic, very comfy bed, a wonderful view across the valley, including the railway, and a large victorian style bathroom with a standalone bath with shower over. An excellent breakfast was included in the very reasonable price and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Lovely rooms, great views and spotlessly clean. Friendly staff that were very helpful.

Older building so creaked a bit & could hear people moving upstairs. Would be nice to have fridge in the room.
