Pleasant property and great check in experience

This property is absolutely delightful. We were so pleased to see how friendly the staff were. Nic and Wendy are fabulous hosts. The property is exceptionally clean. And William Morris’ designs all over the place were an extra special bonus. Highly recommended ❣️❣️❣️

The room was lovely and big; everything was exceptionally clean. The setting is fantastic with beautiful views and in a quiet location. We liked the breakfast as there was lots of choice and the food was good quality. The guest lounge is a lovely addition and we sat there one evening to play scrabble!

Very accommodating with a late check-in, very comfortable room, delicious breakfast

Very clean overall also staff were friendly and very helpful. Great breakfast and lovely facilities. Nice to see more options than Full English, a nice mix for all. Would definitely recommend, it set back from the road, so once located is definitely a hidden treasure.

Nothing really, only downside if im being super picky was the room had strong perfume air freshener. Not my thing, but i just moved it out and opened a window. Some people may love that kind of thing.

Location to venue and easy to get too clean room

Ants in the bedroom in the evening woke up to ants across my face and flying around the bedroom, ants all over toiletries in bathroom. Waited until I was checking out to speak to owner no offer of even partial refund, no real apology owner acknowledged they often have an issue and blamed an open window j in the bathroom the window is an old sash window that didn’t shut properly - this could have been resolved with an offer refund was mindful this had been my only issue - have contacted and liaised with booking.com on x 4 occasions they offered 50% refund however they have not activated refund and said this is down to the hotel not responding to their emails therefore can’t move forward Giving up now negative energy however would suggest you check window in room I will not use booking.com again will stick with VRBO better customer support - annoyed the hotel failed to respond to booking.com email

The property is quite old and quirky.

Door from our room into bathroom was smaller than a usual door. We had to turn sideways to get in.
