Dolphin Motel

I stayed in the wheelchair accessible studio unit which was very clean and quiet - just the lovely sound of tui's in the trees behind the motel. The location was handy to shops and wharf area. The WiFi was excellent. The bathroom was very spacious and wheelchair friendly. There was plenty of parking with a mobility space right outside my unit. Great value for money. I will be back!

As a wheelchair user I found the spaces between the bed and other furniture in the unit quite narrow. At times it was difficult to move around.

The motel was comfortable and well set up . We had problems with the tv coverage, but when we asked the young man at reception he came over immediately and tried to sort it out. Unfortunately we still had issues but he came back over in the morning and remedied the problem. The disability shower was a definite bonus with plenty of hand rails for safety and a shower seat available if required. I would stay here again if I was back up here.

The only thing that we were disappointed about was that the booking stated that there was a king size bed in the unit , but in fact we had a queen bed which was not what we wanted.

This motel was a couple of blocks back from the beach - an easy walk, which was handy for eating and also as we were there for an ocean swim event at the waterfront. Off-street parking was available.

It was ok.
