Dolphin Motel

The best part of the Dolphin Motel is the staff. So very helpful and accommodating. The room was very adequate (though a little dated.) Not fancy but quite comfortable and great walking distance to town and the wharf. We actually probably would have stayed here longer if we had been able to change our other reservations. Good, safe parking and lodging.

he refrigerator and air conditioner were not working properly, which caused my fruit to go bad.

Peace and quiet clean and tidy

I booked for 3 couples and we got different rooms. I paid more and only realized when we arrived that there was a new extension. I had the room in the new part. Not sure how you can book in either old or new. The accommodation was in walking distance of the waterfront and shops and cafes. It is a reasonable price for the area.

My husband and I did have a room in the new section. Which was clean and the decor was good. The room costing more than our friends in the old section was smaller with no bathroom cabinet for your toiletries to be put, only the floor! The kitchette had ants for our 2 day stay. And a low stall on the floor with a microwave on it with no nearby plug socket so you would have to lift it up onto the Hob which is within the kitchen bench top. Next to the stall which has the microwave on is a tall flimsy cabinet which only holds a blanket and hairdryer. No cardboard or draws to keep clothes in. I am somebody that clears up before I leave a room but a notice on the wall explaining, if we didn't wash, dry and put away dishes and pans or the room left tidy, failure to do this we would incur an extra fee of $50. The beds are rock hard. In all 3 rooms we had booked. Don't speak very good English!
