Pathpoint Cologne Backpacker Hostel

Staff were a bit too formal; didn't give any tips on what to see or do in Cologne, I was just handed a map. Also I had to discover for myself what facilities were in the hostel. Not very homely or a great meeting point with other travellers. A bit too plain and business like. Located in a good neighbourhood but it's a pity about the noise from the roaring traffic and trains all night long. Very thin mattress don't make for a comfortable nights sleep. Clean and modern hostel. Left luggage is free of charge you just need own padlock or can hire one for €5. Also €10 room key deposit.

Perfect for those on a budget! this has ro be the best value for money hostel/backpackers I have stayed in while on a 6 week jaunt around Germany. Clean, cheap, very tidy. Only a 2 minute walk to the main train station and 4 minutes from the Cologne Dom. Staff are knowledgeable, happy to be of service, they have travelled too, so understand your needs and wants.

Not bad hostel clean for a cheap get away !!!

everything was good, the staff were nice and the hotel is located at a comfortable walk to the train station. The internet, however, is a problem as our room (B35) have weak wifi signal which keeps getting disconnected.

Great location next to the hauptbahnhof and very short walk to shops and restaurants. The station is pretty much a shopping centre so you can grab stuff at any time and take back to the hostel. Internet was patchy at times, but okay.

Very near to the train station, super easy to go all around the main areas and scene spots. Cozy common rooms and bedroom with a very comfortable bed I have to say. I stayed in women dom and they are just so clean and tidy. Lockers are available in the room so it is very convenient. Hair dryer can be requested in reception, which is a very nice offer for hostel. Upon check-in, the staff is professional and nice- well spoken English by the way. The most important is: all these only cost you 21 EURO- what else can you ask for?:)

Easy access to Koln station. Good cooking facilities and suitable for a family with young children travelling.

nice and quiet. staff are friendly and helpful. They also have still and gas water.

It's probably the cleanest and best kept modern hostel in the world, 5 minutes from central station in Koln. Staff are friendly, and the breakfast if excellent value for money. The rooms are clean as are the bathrooms. Most guests are students and professionals, but you do get some weird people (eg. alcoholics, etc) sometimes, so be prepared, and keep an open mind. The staff are always willing to help and are wonderful people. Bring slippers, because the bathrooms do often get wet!!!
